  1. HDR photo's are when you take a couple photos in sequence of an under exposed photo, perfectly exposed then overexposed then software combines the 3 to make one cool looking photos, DSLR's have a bracketing feature that allows you to set up it up for you, you can do one but 3 is best but when he used a tripod he does 5 or 7. Here are a couple my brother did from August. If you get some time google HDR photo's they look amazing if done right and now overcooked then they look to fake and ridiculous. Here are a bunch of others. http://www.flickr.com/photos/photofishinjoe/ Couple of my favorites he has done- me on the back of my boat. http://www.flickr.com/photos/photofishi ... hotostream Fly rod- http://www.flickr.com/photos/photofishi ... hotostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/photofishi ... hotostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/photofishi ... hotostream
  2. Maxima is awesome line it's a co-polymer not a mono, I use it in 10 pound for Erie walleye but have caught many large steelies on it, the stuff wears like iron I can't say enough good things about it. I have been using 30 on my rigger reels for salmon for years and won't use anything else. I say go for it you won't be dissapointed.
  3. http://www.lakemichiganangler.com/store/Sabiki_Rigs.htm work great for smelt too.
  4. Check walleyecentral.com classifieds link across the top and walleyesinc.com biggest marketplace for walleye boats.
  5. Yes they are of the same vintage, blue connectors they will wire right up.
  6. I got my HDS 7 and put it on my boat last night for a quick night bite walleye trip. The broadband sounder defintely marks better than my 38HD looking forward to running them both. Next year I'm getting a HDS-10 the moving the HDS-7 to the back.
  7. I just picked up a HDS-7 for 849 plus the 200 rebate and free shipping 649 to my door (after rebate) I do need to buy map chip though. I'm going to network it with my 8 inch lowrance. The broadband sounder is flat out amazing on lake ontario. I fished on a friends boat and we marked our divers doing down and even our sliders! The fish busting up bait. totally riducluous I can't wait to put the HDS on my rig for next season.
  8. Where did you stay, my friend is getting married at Hawks Kay in duck key next May. Just curious. Good story BTW
  9. These guys have a few. http://www.walleyetacklestore.com/acspkliclkwo.html http://www.fishusa.com/ACMETackleSpoons ... ers_c.html http://www.lakemichiganangler.com/store ... Spoons.asp I've purchased from bay shore and land big fish and friends have purchased from fish usa and lake michigan angler they are good to go online sources. Also call Erie Outfitters www.erieoutfitters.com he has the glow wolverine silver streak versions of these spoons, look just like a K/O, tis the season though but I know Craig stocks them in alot of colors. BTW- google knows everything
  10. I would do a few searches for rigger rod and linecounters first then if you have any questions then post a more specific questions. Alot of good gear for most any budget you'll defintely find something from 90-300 per rod/reel.
  11. Expect to see me sitting next to you! post honeymoon I'm free!
  12. Those motors are junk. I had a 2003 250 DI. Sold it after a year of having problem and purchased a new boat because I wanted new with warranty, guy who purchase it blew it up TWICE! another friends had a 02 200 DI, he also BLEW it up. BOTH of these motors had issues with TPCS, fuel pumples, starters, chewing plugs, etc. Both of these motors didn't even make it to 350 hours, WEAK. They are just garbage. Merc and Yammy is where it's at. The E-tec's aren't much better lots of powerhead and lower unit problems, my dealers words not mine. Sorry to hear you are another victim of BRP.
  13. I can't wait to fish your boat sounds like your finally all dialed in. Ohh vey the electronics on it 10 inch and 2 5's very nice. I hope you don't plan on putting it away early I defintely see some river fishing this late fall or winter so go get familiar with the mighty Niagara so we know what we are doing.
  14. This is what I use, same with everyone on Erie. No problems for anyone.
  15. I also run snubbers my leaders (dreamweaver) for flasher flie is 50lb Seaguar Leader material. 6-10 ft depending on if I'm getting bit or not I start long then I'll go to a shorter one some days they want shorter I changed this up this year. Spoons I run 30 pound seaguar leader material and still run snubbers. 30-50 pound line doesn't have much stretch I like a little bounce.
  16. All Optimax motors are 2 stroke direct injected.
  17. 45lb copper is 22 ft of depth for every 100 ft of copper at a 2.2mph so 300 copper is 66 ft down 400 is 88 and 450 is about 110 on estimate give or take. Pulling flashers and paddles you'll loose some of that depth due to the drag. If your running one copper just run it down the chute, let it out slow on clicker and thumbing it out till it will pull out by itself which will take anywhere from 50-100 ft depending on your speed and what you towing. Let it out while the boat is straight and bring it in while the boat is straight. You'll tangle it up with something eventually and it will suck, we all do it...at least most of us.
  18. I say eat it, a 10 is a big eye.
  19. This is good news! Michigan and NY have it now Ohio needs to step up and allows us let us fish 3.
  20. If you do alot of trolling I wouldn't buy a 2 stroke I would stick with the 4, or get the 2 stroke for main power then a 4 stroke kicker as you'll be able to tap into the same fuel line. 2 strokes are louder than 4 that's without doubt as you know you can barely hear a 4 while running. Opti's and 2 strokes have come along way, one turn starting, hardly any smoke, powerful and great on gas and often better when running wide open or close to wide open but for hours on end trolling I would skip it. You'll chew through plugs and with today's fuel you'll have carbon issues eventually. I run a 250 Optimax Pro XS and absolutely love it but I wouldn't ever troll with it. I get better milage than my friends with comparable yammy 4 strokes and Verado's on average.
  21. BTW a guy on the spoonpullers website is selling a huge lot of them.
  22. I just purchased this one http://www.gloutdoors.com/rhforschnerse ... fe-10.aspx It's great and slices through fish like butter. I got the 10 inch.
  23. I have a Diawa 57 Accudepth Plus loaded with 10 colors plus 300 yards of 20 pound fireline with a 30 ft leader fits perfect
  24. You know what your right I'm a dummy. Yankee confused me a little bit talking about the bigger ones and I was thinking about my walleye ones which are size 6. I probably have 20,000 beads at my house too. DUH! Yeah 10's are huge, 8's are the rattle beads Here is a place that stocks them. http://www.xtackle.com/danielson.aspx
