  1. It says: " it means that if you want a residential hunting license in Minnesota ". In my eyes that means that if you are a North Dakota resident, you should get an out of state (non resident) Minnesota permit. not a residential one.You cannot claim residence in 2 states
  2. The whole thing is an effort to weaken and discredit our democratic system in order to discourage pro democracy movements in their own countries Wherever they can sow discord they will in order to weaken us and thereby their own internal opposition groups. Dems and GOP should stand united against this effort to divide us. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I can see your conflict, but as long as we cannot produce enough energy by using solar and wind we must make do with the next best solution. The plant went from coal fired to gas and biomass and although that is less than ideal it is better than coal or oil. Would you rather have had a few giant wind mills on the floating island in the middle of Seneca Lake?
  4. This was not a democratic party supported ad, although that is what some questionable groups would want you to believe. The ad was probably paid for by Russia or China or North Korea.
  5. Hobies can be outfitted with outriggers. I used one in Hawaii for surf fishing, it was very stable and next to impossible to flip over. That might be a good safety measure in cold weather. The kits go for less than $200 which makes it a great investment
  6. wire gets you deeper with less line
  7. I see steel and brown. What happened to the lakers?
  8. drlfc has his x4 on ebay now for $500. We used it all summer and it is in fine working condition.
  9. Send a pm to drlfc. He plans to upgrade to a newer version of Fishhawk
  10. That is great! I will send you my address right away , but before doing so, I would like to thank you very much!
  11. With an Arima boat you do have a "false " bottom due to the thick closed cell foam layer that these boats come with. The foam makes it impossible to use a through hull transducer because the foam is just not the right material for the beam to shoot through. That leaves you with 2 options. Either the transom which works fine while fishing ,but not so good when you go in search mode. Or drill a hole in your boat and go that way. If it is done by a professional than you should be alright. If it is done less than perfect you will end up with water soaked flotation foam which in an Arimo is a royal pain in the neck. When you look at the second picture down below , you will see a foam free space and you can possibly drill a hole somewhere in that area. 360.813.3600 [email protected] HOME ALL MODELS CONSTRUCTION PARTS REQUEST A QUOTE DEALER LOCATOR ABOUT US CONTACT CONSTRUCTION Home CONSTRUCTION Arima Boats uses the highest quality components! Our boats are safe, economical, and easy to handle. Arima Boats are designed for smaller engines enabling them to run and plane at very low speeds, reducing gas consumption. Our deep cockpits and wide hulls give you a more comfortable, stable, “I am safe” feeling, allowing you to relax and become one with the environment and the sea, the way boating was intended to be. With an Arima, you can troll straight without holding the wheel, allowing you to concentrate on landing the big one. 12. I will be here from November 16 to November 26. My daughter has her wedding there and I plan to sneek some fishing in between the events.
  13. You do one and get the other for free while you're at it
  14. There are these beautiful quiet days in November. I would go out on one of those days and fish for browns on Lake Eerie in front of a creek in 40 to 50 feet of water and get some browns or smallies. As for Keuka lake, They do not draw it down, but it seems that the lakers tend to move to the southern end to spawn and I do not believe in catching fish in the spawning season. It seems to me a willful destruction of future investment.
  15. Thank you guys for the info. The surf fishing should be exiting although "the amazing shoreline sights" might be somewhat distracting. From what I gather there should be plenty of small charter guys around. I'll just bring some loaded reels and buy or rent rods when I'm there. I might send some pics of the fish and maybe the shoreline sights.
  16. Is the 7' foot ugly stick a one piece or a 2 piece? If it is a 2 piece I want it
  17. It may help to contact the bombardier company in Canada. They own Evinrude and they should be able to steer you to some good Evinrude people in your area
  18. Just south of Malpais Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I will be there for 10 days. What gear should I bring for surf fishing and does anyone have a suggestion for charters ? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I do not usually stop fishing until Thanks Giving. It usually means that I am completely alone on the lake. That is the main reason why I prefer to stay close under the shore and run a brown program. It feels a bit safer to be able to pack up and leave on short notice. At this point in time the browns are still in front of the creeks, but as the winter closes in, the bigger ones go into the streams while the smaller ones stay in the lake. In 50 feet of water it is usually just below below 50 degrees throughout the column and on a brown program you can expect browns, lakers (out of season), smallmouth and the occasional pike if you get close to a weed bed. So there is a lot of fun to be had. Good Luck.
  21. I love my thermal underwear in combination with Carhartts. That stuffs works in the woods, on the ice and the fields. It does not make you stand out like a sore thumb.
  22. Laker country is not so close to Oswego. They are on the sand flats north east of Oswego. If you are already going there, try to launch out of Henderson and go due west until you hit 120 feet
  23. Triumphs are a plastic mold, so a crack is very hard to fix. That is why I stick to aluminum
  24. What can freeze will freeze. In case of doubt just pump the pink antifreeze into the live well. If it drains by itself it will drain out and you will be fine.
