  1. I was wearing a green Mustang suite and buddy was wearing an orange one.If those two characters matched that description that was us.We didn't mark a lot of fish just small schools now and then.I sat on one hole like a hen on eggs and capitalized on them when the schools came threw. It was my first trip to Oneida in about 20 years. What a wonderful fishery.Five species from one hole had to be a record for me.Glad you guys got in to them. Hope to see you out there next year on better ice.
  2. 10 Flutter spoons 8 are Suttons sizes 38,88,71,35,37,and 3-44s 1 Strike King, small copper one on the end is a Miller. Today's best offer.
  3. I have a 300' and 400' spool $55 shipped.
  4. Dug a little deeper $28 and $58 for all.
  5. The 8 in the bottom row are 6in $20.00 The 7 in the top row are 6.5in old red eye sonic dodgers $50.00 for all
  6. Shore ice was getting a little sketchy.Ice off Sylvan was about 6in.Going west out of North Bay there was some open water near shore that you had to go way out and around.Where we fished on the North shore next to some ice shoves the ice was 12in. but there is defiantly some bad spots out there.Sad to say it was probably the best ice I fished all winter. We wore Mustang suites and poked a lot with spud bars.
  7. Sat. Fished out of Sylvan Beach,40 mph winds made thing tough. We did a lot of scouting didn't mark many fish only managed 2 Perch and a Whitey.Sunday with much better weather and a little Intel from Sat. scouting we went out of North bay.We hiked up the North shore about 2 miles.I fished in 31fow. fished one hole all day.Caught 3 keeper Eyes 11 shorts 8 jumbo Perch 1 nice Small mouth 1 Burbot and 2 Whiteys. My friend got 3 keeper Eyes including big fish at 5lbs.Slow start but a strong finish to my Ice fishing season. Now on to open water.

  11. I am with Paul Mustang Float Suit one of the best investments I have ever made.
  12. I have Big Jon Multi-set rod holders on my riggers. They have a large bolt that goes threw the base plate with a lock washer and a nut on the bottom side.Any time I have put a dipsy in them the one on the starboard side loosens up.I like the rod holders just do not like how they mount on the base.If they used two fasteners or something to stop them from pivoting on the base I would have been happy.Maybe the design is different on the triples.I now have Berts ratcheting rod holders and tracks on the sides of my boat and am very happy with them.If you decide to go with the Berts hear is the best price I found. http://www.franksgreatoutdoors.com/rod- ... 00240.html
  13. We opted to fish deep for Perch away from the masses.Had to fish through the small ones. The Perch are not the size they were 3 or 4 years ago.We did manage good number of fish in the 9 to 10 inch range. There was a lot of current out deep from the open water and wind.
  14. Gill bite has slowed down from what it was a couple of week ago.Down size with your jigs.Few crappies in the mix.4 plus inches of ice on the South end.Lots of open water mid lake.North end isn't safe. Some decent perch 25'+ have to weed threw the small ones.
  15. I would guess planer board release or down rigger release.
  16. My friend and I were fishing out of Olcott and caught a 18.5 pound Rainbow.I knew it was only going to make 19th or 20th place. We didn't even run in to weight it in.Any other year that fish would have made top 5 probably.
  17. I wouldn't even want Amazon bush people to see me wearing those things.
  18. It's to bad you guys didn't get into them.I use to fish the Bay in the early to mid 90s.When it is hot it is red hot but when it slow it is real slow. Some days we would catch 20-30 fish (two of us)other times we would fish two day without a bite.Better luck next time Sean
  19. Good Gortex Boots with a lot of protective fish slime on them.
  20. Silver has about 4" of ice. lots of gills on the south end.Few pike being caught. Most guys fishing out of Macks or boat launch, few guys out of Traber Rd.Mid lake north not safe shore ice isn't very good but doable.Few decent perch some crappie.
  21. Looking for a lowrance LGC-3000 GPS. receiver and power cable (Low-127-08)For a lcx 38c head unit I purchased.
