  1. I did the same as you are now, moved to Ga. and next Sept. will be 2 years. The plan was for me to take a month or 2 on Lake Ontario, but Covid changed those plans last summer. Now that I know how hot it could get here, and my double dose in my arm I hope to tow up to NY this summer, and take advantage then. Though I haven't put my boat in down here yet, I'm hoping to troll for West Point Lake Stripers while the waters still cold. It'll be strange competing with water skiers instead of fisherman. Good luck with your new place
  2. It is a jigging box. They still have it listed for parts and how to set it up https://www.reelschematic.com/wp-content/uploads/schematics/Cannon/pre2007/Cannon excitor pre 2007.pdf
  3. A lot of mixed reviews here. I'd call your card co. and tell them.
  4. I've also had some straighten out. I run spoons now hooked to the snap.
  5. Anyone have a phone # or contact for Hank at L&M? I sent him a PM and just want to be sure he sees it. Thank you
  6. They can be replaced with carbon fiber drag washers. It's really not that hard to do them.
  7. Do it yourself. Believe it or not, reel repairs aren't that hard to do. Just have a schematic available and a lipped pan with a towel on it to catch all the small items that fall.
  8. Just watched the Mayor's live feed when the question about Wrights came up. He says there are 3 things going on why the launch will stay closed. The virus, the high water and construction going on, and due to that the launch will stay closed until July, and will maybe open "If at all" this season. Apparently there are plans in the works to raise the entire marina in the planning stage, and that construction will be going on into next year when it starts.
  9. It won't damage anything. I run 2 beads all the time a few inches apart. Just make sure you have the yellow for steel and the black if you have braid
  10. This was just published in the Daily Mail. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-8195441/Haunting-pictures-6-000-shipwrecks-lie-North-Americas-Great-Lakes.html
  11. I'm also fishing alone most of the time and finally ended up putting an autopilot in. But before I did, I would turn and drop the riggers with the wind, and then make a turn back.
  12. Thank you Harvey, the weights look great.
  13. Octopus is what I've put on mine.
  14. I'm still waiting for you to give me a price with shipping for 2 16# torpedoes
  15. I found this on another site today Amazing What We Think We Need Kind of reflecting on the state of us Westerners today. We thought we needed all of our wants....entertainment, sports nonstop, pleasure, comfort and ease, pampered appointments, videos.....etc. Needs in reality are health, family, food, security, companionship, and empathy enough to be servants rather than the served. Maybe when this is over a lot of us will realize what we can REALLY do without......and what we cannot do without. Get to know your family, do something that doesn't involve a video game, build a campfire, cook something special, call that elderly friend who lives alone, look at your spouse with no distractions, teach your dog a new trick, finish with excellence all the projects and honey-dos you have put off for so long, sleep hard, pray for each other and our leaders. Availability is the greatest ability in the world.
  16. He's looking at a Pacific Cruiser I think. That's what I had in mind. https://www.hewescraft.com/products/pacific-cruiser/
  17. I almost bought one this past December, I just didn't think the price was justified, even though my wife told me to buy it. I instead picked up a 2007 Trophy Pro with the Alaskan cabin, and hopefully I'll be able to get it out this season.
