  1. I run 45# on all my coppers 300', 450' and a 600'. I like them the same so it's easy to remember the dive ratio.
  2. Green top glow bottom for morning / overcast days and green metallic top and chrome bottom for later in day / bright sun for me. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I have good luck with them using pieces of cut bait. I catch my own bait so I just use leftover chunks. Run behind 11" paddles and long leads work best
  4. Orange Red Pinks all work great. If your fishing offshore for them then generally a little faster speed works best.
  5. As mentioned above just pick your days. Pay close attention to the wind direction and wind forecast. If your fishing the south shore from like fair haven to the oak a small South wind will be best and the lake will be near flat. If it's out of the north / northwest then the waves and chop will be higher.
  6. X 2 Great guy, fantastic work quick turn around Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Understood thanks everyone as always I appreciate the input Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I guess my main question is it more a bright high sun penetration or an overcast grey type or is it more of a anytime deal
  9. With all the talk about UV and the way it hit the market the last couple of years my Arsenal of UV is growing. Question I have what is the best overall condition to use these? Deep? Overcast? Sunny? Shallow? Etc I have a mix of all the big spoons and attractor and fly combos but can honestly say that I haven't noticed the UV being any more productive then my typical non UV go to's. I'm sure it's what I'm doing or when I'm using them. Just looking for others advice
  10. Unfortunately for me it's over. My girls start travel cheer leading and travel ice skating tomorrow. We will be visiting Boston, cape cod, Washington DC, poconos, Virginia, and lake placid just name a few. In my eyes there only young once and God willing I can always hunt later in life. I was fortunate to hunt 38 days of bow and almost all of gun ending tonight. My freezer is stocked but still was hoping to end on a high note. I will just live vicariously through the rest of you
  11. As I sit on my final afternoon of my season I want to congratulate everyone on your season, and thank everyone on this thread. This helped me get through some uneventful long sits. I wish everyone happy holidays and merry Christmas. Best of luck on the remainder of your seasons and hope you have a good winter
  12. Tonight's view In between 2 bedding areas on edge of bean field
  13. Hunting Wayne county on edge of the lake. Sounds like duck hunting is going great not so good for deer movement
  14. Nothing in the field but got busted by 2 deer on way out to truck in thick bedding area. Just heard them and saw their tails
  15. Same here
  16. Trash Can followed with a Green Krinkle fly hands down
  17. Congrats. Great buck and well deserved
  18. Same here. Sat morning and afternoon till dark not a single shot or deer seen for past 4 sits.
  19. Not a single shot or deer seen in 8F this morning. Calling it quits until the afternoon
  20. That's crazy. Often wondered what happens to deer that are shot and guys wonder if they survive or not Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. In 8F sounds like the 4th oh July coming from the state land. Thank god I'm 5 miles from there
  22. Best thing I've seen all year. Grey squirrels are picking up crab apples off the ground and carrying them up the trees in their mouth. One Apple must've been too heavy because gravity took over and down they both come
  23. Wayne county today for me. Usual shots early through 8am nothing since. Had a big body 6 come through at 25 yards and that was it
