I have good luck with them using pieces of cut bait. I catch my own bait so I just use leftover chunks. Run behind 11" paddles and long leads work best
As mentioned above just pick your days. Pay close attention to the wind direction and wind forecast. If your fishing the south shore from like fair haven to the oak a small South wind will be best and the lake will be near flat. If it's out of the north / northwest then the waves and chop will be higher.
With all the talk about UV and the way it hit the market the last couple of years my Arsenal of UV is growing.
Question I have what is the best overall condition to use these? Deep? Overcast? Sunny? Shallow? Etc
I have a mix of all the big spoons and attractor and fly combos but can honestly say that I haven't noticed the UV being any more productive then my typical non UV go to's.
I'm sure it's what I'm doing or when I'm using them. Just looking for others advice

I was fortunate to hunt 38 days of bow and almost all of gun ending tonight. My freezer is stocked but still was hoping to end on a high note. I will just live vicariously through the rest of you
As I sit on my final afternoon of my season I want to congratulate everyone on your season, and thank everyone on this thread. This helped me get through some uneventful long sits. I wish everyone happy holidays and merry Christmas. Best of luck on the remainder of your seasons and hope you have a good winter

Best thing I've seen all year. Grey squirrels are picking up crab apples off the ground and carrying them up the trees in their mouth. One Apple must've been too heavy because gravity took over and down they both come
