  1. Great job Mark! That fog was unreal for sure. On Cayuga I could not see anything but fog most of the morning!
  2. Great job chowder! I couldn't move my 400' of copper. I think I caught one 4lb laker on it saturday. My dipsy's and riggers did all the work. I think we were fishing north of you guys. Saturday we did a big horseshoe from long point and up back down past deans and back again twice and stayed north most of the day. Sunday we made the error of leaving the fish and stayed south of longpoint, but about noon we finally made are way back up to longpoint and trolled back north of Aurora and it was game on again. I can't wait to get the fish in the smoker as well.
  3. I don't think you can! I would look into buying the T4 Panther hydrolic steering system for it. Lots of guys use it and love them.
  4. Great job and report! WTG! I was glad to see Kade back on the board. We couldn't have asked for any better weather!
  5. Great report! Its funny how those logs can just sneak up on you We stayed up N and just pounded the lakers. North of Aurora in 120 + is where we did most of our work.
  6. Thanks everyone! Ben you got me thinking now I can build a mount right on top on the planer board and send it right out Mark the HDS should be here today! They are sending me a brand new one but a few days late Chowder, I love cooking and fishing! I will send you a pm tonight on how I did it.
  7. Here is my weekends top 5 fish for Cayuga 10 lbs 2oz 3rd in B&B 10 lbs 5th in B&B 9 lbs 5oz 9 lbs 3 oz 9 lbs 1 oz All Lakers
  8. Sorry but we do have pictures of some of our bigger lakers but its on Pauls camera.
  9. What a weekend Finally got the boat all back together with new toys installed We did not do any pre fishing but I had a plan and stuck with it. Steve, Josh, Paul and I launched at long point and set up in the fog right off the point and trolled north so I thought. I was setting up rods and and some tangles with the core but by the time I got that all fixed I checked on are progress N and found that we had already traveled a mile south In all fairness my Lowrance HDS 7 is still out for repairs. I stole my dads cheap hummingbird fish finder for depth. We also had my iphone with the Navionics It was a great day. It was one 8 pounder after another we pulled in. I lost caught of how many we pulled in but it was unreal. We landed 3 over 9lbs and also a 10.2oz laker. In the morning. Some how we managed to forget the ice while I was filling up my truck and boat with gas After josh weighed in we headed back out and nothing but small 4 to 5lb lakers with the the occasional 7 to 8lber. White bluedot spinny paired with blueddolphin fly, green spinny paired with proc, and some small spoon that I lost produced most of the fish Saturday. We must have landed over 30 lake trout Saturday alone. most were breaking 7 to 8 lbs. Its one of my better days on Cayuga as far as quality fish goes in numbers. Sunday- Weather was completely different. South wind and overcast. Steve and I trolled out of longpoint to the west shore and produced some decent lakers. We then went back and picked up josh and paul and hit a few more laker and then nothing for a couple of hours. We were fishing new areas looking for the big ones and did not find them. We slowly trolled back to the North end into our honey whole and FISH ON! We were landing fish about every ten to fifteen minutes. Couple of doubles. Next we started to fish the outside of the honey zone on the way back and then Steve hooked up on the dipsy with 5th place 10lb laker. We had about twenty mins left so we trolled a little longer only to loose a dipsy on the wire. A fish hit it and then it broke off on the knot on the wire Not sure what happened but that never happened to me before. The hot stuff for today was AtTomMiks new Shocker spinny combo, Protroll white green dot paired with atommiks green white fly? and some other random spoons in green color. Both days we trolled 90 to 160ft down over 120 to 400+ FOW Josh placed 3rd with 10.2 Lbs and Steve placed 5th with a 10lb Laker. Not bad at all for a 109 entrie tournament! We had a great time. These lakers were fat. Josh's fish had a 7 to 8" brown trout in its stomach Here are some pictures of this weekends trip. Condgrads to all who fished! WTG
  10. Sorry about your bad luck! Just know that you are not the only one out there having these issues
  11. It work out great. I only had it out once since I put it on. Half hour install and I wa back in business. I will post a pic soon as I get all this stuff put on. Another storm system just moved in:( [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  12. I thought I would let you guys know how I made out. I got the part last Saturday but had to work plus it was a different part. I got back online and the schematics said it was the right part. Red flags were just jumping in my head. The old part in the picture as you can see has 3 ports. An in, out and the pulsator line. The new part only had an in and out port but had a plastic spacer that was cut to perfectly fit in the groves of the power head. Also the pumping mechanism was designed to go in to the motor. I took the old pump off and sure enough it had a flat back on it and the there was a home custom gasket cut to cover the hole in the motor. My best guess is this pump failed and they just replaced in with a snowmobile fuel pump or something for some stupid reason. I had to get longer metric thread bolts to accommodate the new fuel pump. I hooked it up to my main gas tank by itself and immediately I could tell it was working when I started the motor The fuel pump was pulling fuel out of the tank no problem. I did not get a chance to hook up my big motor again and put it all back on the water separator because a storm system moved through but I should have it finished today and have a bunch of other addition on the boat today. I will post pics on another topic! The old fuelpump
  13. Thanks I will do my best! I never have run the proc behind a black spinny. Always Mtdew. I will have to give it a try. The Proc always produces something. My other favorite is the Chicken wing spoon I think I would be drinking a lot if these too if I lost that fish during big fish friday. Not to mention the loss of 600' of cable, 1 spinny, 1 fly and 1 dispsy
  14. I just heard on the radio that the no wake restriction is in effect in Tompkins until further notice!
  15. I used my cast for years on all my other phones and loved it. I just downloaded it to my phone again.
  16. Congrads Rod! Nice report. The Proctologist Best fly ever That really sucks with the kink in the wire. I would have loved to seen that fish. I'm going to have to try the bar fishing soon.
  17. You know me Mark. I love the Black releases. The only thing i can say is tighter usually is better because it gives a good solid hook up. I don't set the hook. The release does all that for me. But the issue is that these fish don't always release even when it is lighter. I think I troll a touch faster then you so things are a little different but I suggest as soon as you see the rod move power reel down till it releases and all slack is gone. I think that is all that you really can do besides using really sharp hooks. Great report Mark! Glad to see you make it out there even in these weather conditions!
  18. Angry birds is addictive for sure The navionics cost 14.99 and as mentioned earlier is a good backup plus if you are not familar with a lake that you want to fish you can sit on the crapper planning your trip Its worth the money. I also have the free Weather channel app, facebook, Pandora, Google search, Ebay and probably much more to come.
  19. Great report! Nice Bow Are you fishing the B&B this weekend on cayuga?
  20. WTG! Great report! Tite limped I trade hotdogs and hamburgers for good intell on the water No joke! I'm the going to be the boat ,during the B&B, out on the water that smells like a BBQ. With any luck that will be where the fish are.
