  1. I remember those days. It was very hard to focus on school when the weather is so nice! Focus now! Its almost summer break! Great report. Good luck!
  2. WTG! Those are some nice Cayuga Browns! I guess next week that might be where I'm heading
  3. You got the copper back out I did not think you would get that back out Great report! I like the pictures. The lake looks so nice.
  4. Nice ride! I can't wait to see some hog pictures!
  5. As long as you don't get more then 5 to 10 mhp out of the N you will be fine. It got a little bumpy for us but doable
  6. Nothing big today. The wind was calm to start but picked up out of the North again. We landed 3 dink lakers on the wire 110 fow and landed probably a dozen or so LL's. Nothing big. We did troll next to the waterfall on the east side. Marked a lot of small bait pods all over. We caught 2 of our LL's there but just could not find the big ones. All the LL's were caught on the downriggers and small spoons. Color did not matter. If we put it in front of them they hit it I won't be out fishing untill late next week if the weather is good. Stuck at work the next 6 days Everything went back today.
  7. I left him a tank of gas! He has no excuses now. Thanks everyone especially "Captain Nick"
  8. I burp my lakers. Really! Just run 2 fingers down their belly from the tail to the gills gently a couple of times. This pushes the air out of their bladder. This time of year the water is cold and the survival rate is much better but this method should be done especially on any fish a 100' plus.
  9. Oh almost forgot. I bought my self a new upgrade last week. I'm not usually this high tech but I don't think I will ever look back. Can't believe all the things this thing does!
  10. Another nice Alantic! Reading lots of reports with big Alantics this year! WTG
  11. I bought magna pros last year for my boat when I was starting out and they work great but now I'm starting to buy the Okuma convectors. Awesome reel and I think they will last longer. I been using the 2 magna pro 30's for my wire rods and they are just starting to wear out. I used the living crap out of them so I can say that the Magnas are a great reel and have a lot better price tag on them. Flat lineing they should last forever if you take good care of them. I just recommend if you plan on pulling something ever like wire, copper or lead core to upgrade and buy the convertors. I don't know much about the Diawas but hear great things about them.
  12. I had a great time with you Mark despite being skunked. Glad it was not my boat I would be hosing it down if it was mine Thanks again!
  13. Well I'm going to let Nick chime in on that one if he wants. He is the one who put my on them.
  14. After seeing all the photos of the LL's coming from Seneca I just had to join the party and what better day to give it a try then on my Bday. My boat is still tore apart and waiting for some parts so I stole Dads little Boat Felt like I was in the stone age again but it ran great. Steve and I launched at Clute park and set up right out by the break wall and traveled to the Salt plant. Nothing, not even one hit So we turned around and headed straight back to the break wall and by this time Nick gave me a shout and pointed me in the right direction I ended up pulling in some small 1lbers in so I dropped my gear a little deeper and wam bam dipsy started to jump. I grabbed the rod and handed to Steve. It was a little over 5lb LL MT Dew spinny paired with the Proc took the big LL. Chicken wing was my other hot lure. After that I lost 2 nice ones off the rigger. I was having some issues with the releases. They are some nock off brand of the Blacks releases. I tinkered with them and got them working nice but I recommend buying Blacks. I think we landed 7 out of 10 hits. The wind picked up from the north and rocked us around a bit but not too bad. There was still a lot a debrie on the water. Thanks again Nick! That was much appreciated Should have been a double but my line broke at the release I kept the 5lber for Mom as a Late Mothers day present. She loves Salmon No pictures of the smaller LL's. I wanted to get them back in the water to grow BIG
  15. Here is a link to where you can buy new online. http://www.fish307.com/cannonparts.aspx
  16. No derby for me. Got to work that weekend But I will be at the B&B the weekend before on Cayuga!
  17. I have the Minn Kota 80lb PV2 model and I can tell you that I absoletly love it and how they operate BUT I just checked to see if it still worked the other day before I went to take it out and NOPE! Looks like water got into the lowerunit and frozed during the winter. I also had 70lb PV2 on another boat that I had. During the summer went to take it out and it was completely dead. Nothing worked on it so I ended up returning it to Cabelas. So I am having real bad luck with them and I am hoping mine is still under warranty. I'm going to call them tomorrow to find out. 80lbs rips this boat around. If I am not careful going side to side it will throw me right off the boat No it has not happened yet. This picture was taken during summer 09 while I rented a coutage for a week for the Honeymoon and the wife let me take the boat
  18. Thanks Nick. When I bought the kicker I went and purchased the water seperator so I could use the ports and that is how I hooked it up to start, but the kicker would not say running. So then I disconnected my main motor from the gas tank and directly hooked it to the gas tank to eliminate an issue of it sucking air from the big motor(if that was the problem) and it still would not stay running. Thats when we got the 5 gal fuel tank out and I put it above the motor and she ran fine and had no problem with pumping fuel but as soon as I put the gas tank on the ground she would soon quit. I'm positive the fuel pump is bad at least thats what I am hoping. So I ordered a new fuel pump for $70 plus shipping and it should be here wed. As soon as I get it I will let everyone know how I make out and post some pictures. I'm also waiting on to get my Lowrance hds 7 back from Lowrance Support.
  19. The way I understand it Cayuga lake is under an Boating advisory. No wake zone in the inlet and no wake a 1000 ft from shore. Tompkins has lifted the boating restriction as of this morning but that was only in tompkins. Seneca county as also issued a boating restriction but it is no wake zone 500 ft from shore. I'm not entirely sure what Cayuga county sheriff has issued most recent. Hope this helps
