    Yeah same here Covid has been a blessing and a curse, bought a beautiful home on the Eastern shore of Lake Ontario and hoping to sell my business in the next 6-12 months and do what I've dreamed of doing for as long as possible. Hope this year is as good as 2018. On Lake O. it was nothing short of incredible!!!

    So hard to get someone to install, could do it myself but I want it done perfectly. I have a Garmin dash mount but it is 2009 technology, the new Raymarines are state of the art. Will let you know.

    Yes you too Mike, the Retail meat business has been off the charts, trying to find a buyer in an economy where no one wants to work. Came out the last week of August just to watch the wind blow 20-25 kts. Oh well better luck next year. Have a good winter Mike, tight lines.........Pete

    I went with the Raymarine Evolution 150, it was $2100, the X-5 sport pilot worked great but it made steering difficult at the helm when docking the Baha, especially in hot weather. It was designed for power steering or could have added sea star assist, I thought I would be off just replacing the Raymarines. Hope next year is better fishing what little a got a chance to go.     For sale Raymarine X-5 sport auto pilot, installed on my boat 2014 used twice a year works real well, designed for power steering boats not hydraulic. $600. The unit was just taken off my Baha professionally can text pictures, thanks Pete

    I like happy endings, my take on Elrodlonzo was just good advice concerning the dangers of Lake O. lets all be safe out there, tight lines everyone. (Although this year kinda of sucked fishing wise). Newmike good luck, I am out of catfish too and have your back brother.

    I feel your pain, just got back from Mexico Bay, 2 salmon on Saturday then the wind was just relentless. Fishable in a 25 ft. Baha but NO fun, came home early, fish are scattered everywhere. Temps. all over the place. It will have to be next year for me. Good luck to everyone it has to get better.

    Adk1, Haven't you heard the old saying "timing is everything"? Well no question the salmon bite couldn't be more true. I've been fishing Lake O. since 1985, the absolute best weeks are the very end of August into the week + into September on Mexico Bay. The past dozen or so years it has been the first week of Sept., seems to be delayed for whatever reason. Don't get discouraged, maybe plan those targeted weeks going forward. I'll be heading out next weekend, splashing the Baha and give it a shot. Seems to me the salmon have NOT even begun staging yet. It is a deeper cold water bite into the 550-650 fow.
