  2. Interesting. I'll keep an eye out when I go back out to continue my work, I've got the sea nymph, had my head stuck up under the dash all afternoon rigging up an auto pilot. Why do I think that each rocker switch on mine has a tie to my ignition.... I'll have to check. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  3. Way to go! What a beauty. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  6. Other than the fin clips or radio tech that's now being used for tagging, scales are really a true indication of its life cycle indicating a pen reared portion of its fry / fingerling stage or if was naturally born, But I'm not a biologist Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Good place to work with. If you find a cheaper price, Ancor Ex will match it. Don't forget, rebate worth 200.00 till end of April. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  8. Just to ad Les, there was a lot of talk about the lakes, specifically Seneca not being able to sustain with the forage base. Some say not that I'm in full agreement but hurt the smelt badly. The year that 17lb was caught was an incredible time to catch these monsters maybe late 90's. Bobber fishing at that time was the best. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Im going to go out on a limb and say that you might be casting into ice still, she was still just out side of it with the slush but who knows, just didn't want there to be a surprise, if I drive by there tonight after work I can give an update. Theres other points of interest that can get you to open water from shore with a little drive. Sampson State Park has a wall that can be fished from as well on the East side down about 5 miles from the north end. Good luck.

  11. I can send you some pics, I installed the outdoor receptacles and wired in a outdoor three way plug from an outdoor extension cord on each downrigger. All 4 of mine are set up. Just plug them in or pull the plugs out and close the covers for each receptacle when done. Did all 4 down riggers for like 40.00. Note* Like Ed said, if you have Auto Stops, know your + /- otherwise you'll pop the electronics board.
  12. Some good ideas guys, although I took so much time in trying to find out why the thing could spin, I let it out gingerly a few times etc, I just cant figure out the whys of how the thing could spin or catch the leader to cause the abrasion if you know what I mean, Gill I hear ya on the snubber and yes that would work, but I got away from them with all of the hub bub with lost fish etc. Hate to go back if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, Chinooks are going out on the sides here a few months, I just remember the earlier post about reeling up the diver and seeing just a 3-4 inch piece of leader.......
  13. They seem to work pretty good, only thing that I had to do after several break offs, was to use a steel leader coming off the back. For what ever reason the first 3 - 4 inches would get scuffed up on the leader side that connects to the diver. Not sure if anyone else was seeing that.
  14. Sorry for your loss Matt, the pics are awesome as I'm sure he was as well. God bless. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  15. Sent you a pm John Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  16. Gill, I would keep a close eye on the issue as I'm sure it's painful as I know it would make me crazy as well, Cannon has to and I sure will do sômething about it if they want to stay competitive. As soon as they do I'd have the parts ready for the discussion. Most companies now a days don't like negativity out there in the field. If I hear anything and I know any other LOU member will pass info out there for ya. Hope you make out. I'd also keep asking for "who do you work for" to keep pressing for replacement.
