  1. Yea, they are busy, but good as mentioned. Remember' even though the battery has charged, if a cell is bad or shorted it won't help a thing. It's a start though, no pun intended....... Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  2. Big is right, although Fran is great at Barrett's don't overlook the easy thing first. A cell gone bad in a battery won't be able to start with the cranking amps needed. You can bring it to autozone or similar place where they can load test it. If that's fine you'll have that ruled out at least. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Holy cow Les, that's crazy, you might want to take that Garlic idea someone suggested on another post I read and start spreading, whole lot of it, heck you'll be Italian in no time...... Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  4. I've always admired the guys that not only can go out and target fish let alone a certain species, but can also make it look easy. As always, enjoyable reading Rick. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  5. Agree with John. After getting an earful one day in a good way about not having one up on the big O I bought one with a rebate. They still may have the rebate going. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Haven't tried that but have tried bay seasoning in the boil which is good too. Plenty a room for ya! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Now that sounds good Ed, 30 seconds in the boil, ice, then horseradish sauce. Guess I shd be careful might mean a couple of more boats in February. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Maybe when the ice melts it will set up??? The scum lines this am had a cool look to them as if there were ice pockets. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  13. Not a stellar day but some excitement was had. Started in 170 and 5 color rips. See silver going spastic out beyond. Hand the rod to pops, of he comes. Go to get it set back up, wham a beauty is jumpin them off he comes. 20 min later 210 dipsey fires. Nice king but breaks off nearing boat. Gone is my ratchet jaw moonshine. Chinook Diver owners take warning. Severe line fray just down from snap. I dont use a snubber. I put on a wire leader seems to help. Boated a laker and that was it.230 depth seem to be the best. Marked a ton in 150 but too much debris forced me deeper. Gonna try either tonight or am again. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Yea, mine this past derby on Seneca. Hook got in net, all she wrote. Couldn't get fish in the hoop. Pushing 13 at least. Only thing I could say at the end of the derby, it wasn't the winner we lost. Good thing. Still remember grabbing the kicker going full throttle after it while it was flapping on the surface as if to say see ya. Poor brother. Only one that didn't get on the board. Makes you focus on net discipline for the next 20 years. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. I'll be there tommorow John, thanks for the report, by the way how deep we're the rigs that you did the best on? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  16. Don't short your span of success with going fast the majority of the time. Unless of course your strictly after the salmon / rainbows. Let the fish your catching dictate your liked speed, if your only catching lakers, try bumping it up a notch, if only salmon you could knock it down a smidgen. There was good advice on the leader spread especially if you like going fast. Other things to remember is how many your going to put out and the weight. Some like 32 oz others go heavier. Be careful having a different set up on each side of your boat, it can make a mess on a turn they way they will behave differently due to drag and such. I've had the best success with keeping all of the same style spoons on the Rigs to prevent spinning or no action as mentioned previously, and from the guys before me, they have put some Seneca slime on the floor as much as anyone so there's some good advice there giving.
