    I bought new ones from Fish307.com. They carry a large supply of legacy downrigger gear. I have older (1980's) Mag10A's and have bought new counters and electrical cords etc from them. No issues whatsoever. The original counters had numbers that were simply stickers and they all started to come off and the plastic gears were really brittle and breaking so I replaced all of it.

    I agree find a slightly used boat you will find way more boat for $25k than u will a new boat for $25k

    I love my 221 islander. Pull with my 2010 Silverado no problems. If I didn't trailer 3 hours plus to get to lake o I would go with a fiberglass but love my aluminum islander

    haha, I bet he is working on it. This is why you see different spoon and flasher "lots" for sale on this site. Eventually you just get overwhelmed with all of it. When I first started acquiring tackle, I went out and bought like 30 spoons of varying colors, patterns, sizes etc and a dozen or so flashers then there are the fly's etc... they will all catch fish.

    I had a silver one with red tape once. Would catch pike every cast with that thing!

    For the amount you fish I would hold out until u can buy something better. Ask for gift certificates during the holidays! Haha
