  1. My cousins will be for sale in the next year I would guess
  2. I saw a beautiful sylvan last weekend. Looked to be a 22 footer
  3. I am with Rich S. My islander leaks too. still havent found out where and I agree with thumbburn, I fished in 6 footers a few weekends ago. I felt safe but it was interesting. my two deck hands got banged up pretty good! haha
  4. my cousin has one. they are sweet riding boats. his has the outboard bracket on it which provides even more room in the boat. he has an OMC Seadrive 115 on it. its still a solid boat.
  5. Good luck and keep me posted! I will be up on the SLR
  6. I really looked for a 221 with the Outboard bracket. that really opened up the deck space. I like the power and fuel efficiency of the 4.3 liter but I would have loved the additional room in the stern area with about a 200HP Evinrude Etec on the back!
  7. Kevin is sk8? or something?
  8. we are heading to Wellelsey island sat thru Wedneday. been reading up on Canadian Customs and when to report. basically says that as long as you are cruising from one US port to another US port but sway into canadian waters, then you do not need to report. Also, we do not all have Enhanced ID or Passports so we wont be landing on Canadian soil at all
  9. Heading up there this coming Saturday and staying through Wednesday. I know the Bass/Northern etc fishing is good. Any pointers on the walleye? Is it possible to head into Lake O for some salmon in the trench? Any ideas about how long a trip that would be?
  10. Very cool
  11. Trying to remember was it three seasons ago that was out of this world fishing??
  12. I agree with rich for lake o fishing might as well get the 221 over the 191 version. U get just that much more room. I also agree that the 4.3l v6 is the perfect match for the 221. I have a 1991 islander with the carbureted engine, I wish it had the fuel injected but other than that it's the ideal boat for me
  13. I was a week off I should have said 2 weekends ago
  14. For the skinny it depends on which hole you connect to front hole tighter loop rear hole larger loop
  15. It's kind of funny because I purchased my 1991 221 islander for the same price in 2012 in the end of September.mso someone is out there I would suggest you throw it on craigslist
  16. thanks, yeah, pretty much says that you have to call right on the website.
  17. Just dont know if they have the bluetooth one
  18. Sorry, I know that this has been posted someplace but cant find it. Looking to pull the trigger. Help!
  19. Surprised it hasent yet actually
  20. finsntins has it right. I have been fishing Lake O last three summers without a probe with limited success. I have been thinking backwards. Thinking that yeah, I only get out there to fish once or twice a summer why spend $800 on a probe..Well, not catching fish when you invest on the trip sucks worse. would rather spend the $ and have better success then not! I will have one next year no question.
  21. Oh, I just meant in my plano box "tray" that I am using. the fly fits in there but the coiled leader is to wide etc. I will have to post a pick to be understood. But yeah, I do coil my leaders.
  22. yeah, I am sure DEC is utilizing some else's boat for the project, happens frequently.
  23. there really is no good way especially with coiling the leader. PITA really I have been using the plano tackle box tray system, works but the damn leader always is the PITA
  24. Its funny to me that in the Finger Lakes homes on the lake are called "cottages". On our Adirondack Lakes they are called "camps". Just interesting.
