  1. Yeah this is the first summer I have. It has a new cover. I check it every day. But I will say I sm pulling it until I can figure out the autobioge issue.
  2. Good thoughts everyone much appreciated. Once I pull it out of the water to prep for a lake o trip I will try filling the bilge using a hose
  3. I will have to do some more investigative work I guess. The water comes up to the very bottom of my water/fuel seperator filter.
  4. getting funny now! haha. Well, it happens even when it doesnt rain and I dont have a wash down. Also, if Iwere to guess, it will take around 45 minutes to get to where it stops maybe slightly less, but we are not talking about allot of water here, like 5 gallons or so
  5. bellows were checked over by my mechanic last fall, all are good however did not remove them. My float switch has never triggered, dont even know if it works really.
  6. I have a 1991 Starcraft Islander 221. 4.3L V6. I have been getting water in the bilge since I bought the boat in 2012. I have had my marine mechanic look to see if something on the engine is leaking while running. He could not find anything. I have checked the hull over thouroughly and I do not see any cracks etc. Interestingly, I can leave the boat in the water for as long as I want and I only get about 3" of water in the bilge and that is it, it seems to just stop. Any ideas?
  7. wow u put on the miles every season that is for sure!
  8. I was thinking about using the intake for my live well. I do not use the livewell as a livewell ever
  9. I agree that everyone I have ever talked to say 4 blade props you will lose some top end if you think about it your putting more drag itself spinning 4 blades. I wonder if you experienced more speed cause your original prop pitch was way off of where it should have been?
  10. Nick what time will you arrive in sodus u have a long drive right?
  11. $600! If I could find an X4D for $600 I would buy it today. haha.
  12. I put a 4 blade aluminum on my 221 islander with the 4.3l in it. I noticed that I could get on plane and more importantly stay there at a lower rpm however I then installed a stingray foil and that made the most difference as far as getting on plane particularly with a load in the back and stay on plane at s much lower rpm. It made more of a difference than switching to the 4 blade prop did fore sure
  13. Funny story though on my home lake, I was running a couple of inline planers and it was dead calm. Off my starboard stern comes a boat piloted by a young girl. From the looks of it her dad had her piloting while he stowed dock lines etc....well, she must not have been a fisherman cause when she caught sight of my board, she headed right for it... I think she was curious as hell with what that bright orange thing was and how it was moving through the water all by itself...anyways, once the father got back online and looked up he quickly grabbed the wheel and tried to correct u fortunately her ran over my line and I lost the tackle....kind of funny but did coast me about $10
