  1. I have been thinking the same thing on my islander 221.. I have a 9.9 on it. It is backed up pretty good but I think that I am gonna strap it to the boat somehow with a ratchet strap or two
  2. good point on your comment on my comment about a rod limit. I didnt take into consideration the charters profiting due to chartering a group etc..Those charter captains and crew have to make $$ too!
  3. Honestly, to satisfy the numbber of rods, just simply put a restriction on the maximum number of rods per boat no matter how many guys you have on it. Pretty simple.
  4. way the brown might I ask? I am assuming it spooks the fish less?
  5. I was given 2 Mag 10A downriggers. I know that one needs to have the cable replaced as their really isnt allot left on it. The other looks ok. What length should I get? would 200' be enough of should I get the 400'?
  6. I cant tell for sure but that looks to be a coho?
  7. well hell, they might as well subtract the cost of the cheap hook t othe spoon and not even supply one! haha..yeah right!
  8. I guess using a dodger accomplishes two things. 1. provide action to a lure that does not produce its own action. 2. attracts fish into the setup. having said that, since your also running a dipsey that produces action, I guess your getting double action and an attractor..anyone run spoons befind the same setup?
  9. speaking of coho, I am not hearing many reports on any coho catches much?
  10. mudflat. I agree. trust me, I will not underestimate the conditions that is for sure and will be keeping a watchful eye and ear on the weather.
  11. Dont blame you. They are the next generation of fishermen that are going to hopefully take care of the fishery in the future. Gotta have them involved ANY WAY WE CAN!
  12. no...Why not? What I mean is....The spoon comes with a treble attached, but also included is a single if you wish to put that on...
  13. bobs_boy, your vessel must be able to take some pretty rough conditions I would imagine
  14. I am suprised that all spoons do not come with singles included in the package
  15. can anyone tell me where a good place to launch is in the 1000 Islands?
  16. do you have the line storage area in the front? Mine does but no idea how much it holds. I am not thinking about a power one, just one that would hold my anchor in a fixed position on the bow..I could then pop up through the hatch and just drop the anchor rather than carrying the anchor through the cuddy and out the hatch or rather than trying not to fall in the drink when walking the gunnels to the front!
  17. Pro Packs in yet? I havent recieved mine.. Correction just received mine.. Looking good! Large white paddle with crush tape, 1 Capt Gary Org Mich Dol, 1 Fuzzy Bear Ally Cat, 1 Hello Darlin SS, 1 Liquid Sunshine Action Fly, and one Capt Choice Wonderbread Plug! Nice!
  18. yeah guys, when posting the flea report, state what lb test mono u are using..scaring the hell out of me thinking that my 30lb mono is gonne be caked on
  19. So, would like to hear from some Islander or other cuddy owners on how they store/dispatch their bow anchor. Kind of a PITA. would like to get a perminent anchor mount for the bow. dont know what is out there that would work. Suggestions/ideas would be helpful
  20. can someone provide the link to this wave forcast?
  21. so you are running 5 colors and then backing with mono to attach the mono to the release right on the planers?
