  10. Found this Islander for sale near me. It is not mine. Hull number Stra85ebk394. Comes with two new Scottie downriggers, I think electric. Lower unit and prop look good, no dings. The sign says $3,900. His name is Frank from what the for sale sign says. I didnt speak to him directly. His number is (518) 773-9910. Worth a look in my opinion. Has a VHF and a smaller fishfinder on it to. Just trying to help someone out if your lookin for an Islander.

  12. If you were in my situation, basically hitting Lake O 2x a year, spring i.e. May or June and then late summer fall i.e. August - September what months would you target to be there and within those months, early mid or late in the month? Just trying to plan ahead alittle. Around here, we are still froze up until mid April. Planning on Fishing out of Fair Haven

  20. My cousin used to have a camp near Oswego and fished Lake O allong in the late 80's and early 90's. He would tell me that launching at the Oswego Public Launch was crazy on every weekend. There were attendants at the launch. You had to wait in line. You had a short time to ready your boat to launch and if you couldnt back your rig down by the third time the attendant would tell you to go to the back of the line! which could be 20 deep
  21. Man I hope that this post isn't what guys think of me. Yeah, I have been poking around on this site for well over a year learning what I can. Yeah I bought a boat last fall and am equipping it to fish Lake O. I am the type of person who learns as much as I can and equipping myself the best I can before I actually do something. I like to go into something with the right equipment and the confidence enough to do it. Just the way I am. Been fishing all my life on lesser waters. Want a new challenge. I bet there are some newbys that will hit Lake O a few times and never be back.
  22. I have Pline fluorocarbon..my knots have held up to my walleye so far haha...kind of funny pulling into the launch on my lake with 10' salmon rods rigged with 30lb big game on them and 30 class reels.....
  23. Good question, I will check to find out!
