  1. I dont even know how those work.
  2. nah, not worth it. go with the base combo..GPS and finder. Unless you are bass fishing, not worth it in my opinion
  3. Awesome! Looks like a good rig. You will have to tell me how you like that 4 blade prop. I have to get a new one, current one has a few dings in it (aluminum). Thinking about getting a 4 blade from what I have read about them.
  4. I nmy opinion no. Not even worth it for walleye trolling if you ask me
  5. Nice Little Crappie! You get your boat sold? that is the one that has been posted on this site right?
  6. why wont hte albright knot work?
  7. I bought 18ln Trilene 100% fluorocarbon leader line. I also bought some of the Pline Flouroclear 12 lb. I will run rod length so like 10' of leader material connecting to the big game 30# line. Have to look into what knot I will use.
  8. Yeah, my Islander came with a very old Eagle unit. has to be early 90's. Still works but the off button no longer works so I have to unplug it from the back each time. Resolution sucks. I am thinking about mounting it in the stern though someplace since it is all wired and using it back there just to show depth for whoever is working the riggers once I can afford to get my new Elite 7
  9. What is the best size dipsey diver to have? I see they have them that will dive to 25' and some that will dive to 100'!
  10. I have looked into them. My research has told me to stick with the base unit. I am looking into them and will get the standard GPS//Finder unit.
  11. What were you catching the browns for the most part?
  12. Congrats Dave! Always nice when the maiden voyage goes smoothly!
  13. Best bet is to just search this site there is a ton of info. Get a Great Lakes fishing book there r plenty of them. I am planning my first trip to lake o but figuring august
  14. Black? That surprises me.
  15. There you go! I am thinking of the same thing. I have 150lbs of quickcrete mix that I could do just what you are saying. Sounds like a good idea. will have to put it ahead of the "head" i.e. portapotty that I have in there for the wife.
  16. yup, you will have to look over the back and see where it sits when on plane.
  17. oh man I would never do that man. Would have every rodent in the area in my cabin!
  18. yeah some nice rigs. Way out of my price range when I bought mine for $8k.
  19. Really? I was just on there. When u do the Craigslist search go to vt and the type in Starcraft islander there are three that come up I just checked again. Big money though
  20. Man, I think I have seen that boat or at least the same name on another boat
