  1. most surprising part was the rod never broke and it was bent like a pretzle from the reel seat.
  2. my oldest son had been hounding me to get him another rod for christmas 3 yrs ago. I got him one of those spiderman pushbutton sets, He's 40 yrs old, well we had a good laugh. long story short, he's caught stripers, bluefish, and all kinds of saltwater fish on it. He spooled it with 30 lb braid, we made a trip to the niagra river in november and hammered 15 to 20 lb lakers on it, if i wasnt there i would never of believed it. That rod and reel is indestructable.
  3. Ditto on the Hook Set pic, that is epic
  4. Pics are terrible but looks like a Rapala Shad Rap

  7. I would love to take it off your hands but I'm in Westchester county. I have one but it got very erratic . Got it about 30 yrs ago so I guess it just got tired. If you could bubble wrap it minus the wood box I would be more than happy to pay shipping. If so pm me and i'll be happy to reply.
  8. Guess I'll just have to wait them out. FishUSA has very few SS ones left in stock. I'd like to see the SS ones in Wonderbread colors. I emailed Dreamweaver about that but never got a reply.
  9. Doesn't look like anyone is making the bayrats anymore. Dreamweaver doesn't even list any stick baits on their site. I need long shallow in wonderbread, I've got about 25 never used , LS, SS and the very shallow ones I think they are the s1, in geat patterns if anyone wants to trade. Send me a IM and i'll send a pic of what I have.

  15. John I usually use cotton balls, but yes I do that before I get started.
  16. It can be done but not cost affective. I've done many rods like your talking about. Probably $30 per rod for parts then add labor and your up around $50 to $75 per rod . Are you looking for aluminum or graphite reel seats, cork or foam grips. If your serious send me some pics on IM and I can give you a quote. I can send you some pics of rods I've done handles on, been building rods over 45 years.
