  1. Well at least the girl at the both sent you to the right parking lot at 4 am she told me to cross the bridge and take a left to the east side parking lot . After driving around looking for it i went back to the booth pissed she looked up the location it was on 9th st not even close to were she told me .
  2. Yaa its funny were you may find them slid into 60 feet for browns after working over a bunch of kings in 200ft all morning and picked up a mature king right off with a couple more small ones if you have good temp they can be anywhere .
  3. It was all over the place Mexico had good temp break was at 45 feet but it has not set backup well and poor king fishing Oswego had a little deeper temp brake and lots of kings with bigger fish out over 300 to 400 and mature fish were caught 75to 90 down on spoons . GOOD LUCK I WOULD GO TO OSWEGO
  4. Fished Mexico Friday evening was very slow for kings only fished marked were out in front of the plant and only 1 small king was caught . So slid into 50 feet water were 58 to 60 degree water meet bottom and switched to a brown spreed weighted still took all the bights with a half dozen nice browns in about 1.5 hours . First brown to come up was really cool looking football that was 9 lbs and only 21 inch long looked like someone put a air hose up his but and over inflated lol . Took a bunch of pics and stats on him and released think i just might get a reproduction mount done . Fished Oswego sat am and was game on keep 7 nice kings let a bunch of smalls go as well as 2 atlantics was a spoon bight for us in 160 to 200 feet of water . Heard later on the mature fish were 300 to 400 and 90 down but did not want to leave a hot bight to try to find bigger fish as we were still catching some good ones mixed in with smalls .
  5. Will be running out of Mexico friday to sunday as well trying to avoid harbor fest in Oswego hoping fish are in close with this cold inshore water .
  6. Some times i wounder how people can fit so much stupid into there small heads !
  7. Just installed new dragon fly7 pro due to was very unhappy with my helix went out on Champlain the other day and was amazed at the picture quality and ability to mark everything so clearly .MAKES MY HELIX LOOK LIKE A HUNK OF JUNK ! BUY ONE !
  8. Thanks for the report there has been a lack of reports from wrights as of late glad to hear you got on them will be there this weakend . As far as what to do to turn a fish all you can do is keep constant pressure and when he gives a little take alot . You cant force a big fish that is not tired and you dont want a big green king close to the boat anyways it will cost you your fish in the end let the big ones play out that way you only need to clear one or two lines .
  9. Its weird i have been out there catching kings 2 to 3 at a time with no boats in sight !
  10. Thanks guys figures i am there 27 -29
  11. Looking to find out when Oswego has there summer festival trying to avoid wrights landing during the festival any info would be great thanks.
  12. Good luck and heal up quick with that knee replacement chip !
  13. I run torpedo weighted steel 300 and love it catch lots of browns, steelies and kings on it when fish are 60 and above sinks 20 feet per 100 and way nicer to use then copper . Also no fleas with it and you can use with dipsy and just add dipsy depth plus line sink rate for deeper depth with less line out .
  14. Cant wait to give those glow/uv 6 inch a try !
  15. Oswego has been hot all season right up to Thursday then it shut off fished all over there Thursday only caught steelies and 1 small king . Herd they went deep down around 120 thats 40 feet belowe temp break and i cant say that i really marked any there but some people did find a few . As far as what your doing wrong you might have been a little deep as we were pounding them at 50 to 75 feet at 2.2 on spoons before Thursday with riggers and waighted steel rods . Also i start off in am with a glow spread and as the sun gets high started switching out to uv as the bight dictates .
  16. Thanks guys i no alot of people were in search mode having trouble finding them lots of chatter on vhf and boats never really settled in any one area . Did not go down to the plant and i now many time that i do go towards mexico there tends to be alot more bait around . I guess the next time i have trouble i will try fishing alot deeper then temp or pick up and make a run east or west i did that this spring with browns and it was like night and day .
  17. The fleas were alot better but could not use my wingers that have braid for down rigger cable so just ordered new cable from fish usa to fix that issue .
  18. Yaa even with 13lb waights at 2.2 the blow back is alot so i allways have temp prob at 50 degrees and deep rigger 10 to 15 deeper . My helix 5 does not really mark kings really well deep so a new raymarine dragonfly 7 pro is coming in the next couple days so helix will be for mapping and raymarine for looking for fish think a full 7 inch screen will help alot . I did notice steelies mark really well on it at 75 feet on it though i guess they are just moving a little slower lol.
  19. Hay p3434 did you run meat down there for them ?
  20. Did not send riggers that deep do to i catch most of my fish on temp break so 105 on the rigger was as far down as i went temp break was around 80 feet and marked fish at 65 to 75 but those were mostly steelies as the fish we caught we marked them then got bit and caught some 8 to 10 lb steelies .
  21. Been pounding them out there up until Thursday if i could have had longer to fish i would of headed to mexico and looked there or maybe they just headed out to sea .
  22. Wanted to say thanks to chip we meet up in Oswego and got my custom made flies for my meat heads and i have to say they look great . Looked through some of the flies he had and really liked his 6 inch glow/uv flies so going to have him make me a few as i do really well on glow/uv spoons . After that we hit the water and enjoyed some 4 to 5 foot waves went 8 for 13 on kings with a ton of knock offs . Was a good day thanks again chip and look forward to putting those 6 inch flies to work.
