  1. My Left Handed Remmington 700 BDL 30-06. It'll kill anything in North America and has had its fair share of deer, bear, and coyote. I like that gun soo much, a few years ago I had it completely disassembled, cleaned, reblued, reassembled and fitted with a brand new Leopold scope. That should get me another 25 years out of it. 2. Winchester Model 1400 (duck gun I deer hunted with as a kid) Mossberg 9200 12 gauge Remington 700 BDL 30-06 (been using that for over 25 years now) Traditions PA Pellet .50 cal flintlock Marlin 45-70 Guide Gun Traditions Pursuit G4 .50 cal ML Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  3. If you have someone else in the boat with you, you can have them slow the boat down and slide it in and out of gear just enough to keep forward momentum, lines straight, and the boat on a heading. Or if your boat is like mine before autopilot, doing crazy ivans! Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  4. No issues with 4 to 5'ers with my Simrad. I'm also on Erie with those nasty short period waves we get. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  5. My friend had a Simrad AP44 on his 25' Grady with twin ob's. He now has a Simrad AP44 on his 30' Cherokee. I have an older Simrad on my Tiara (inboards). Most people I know with Simrad AP's really like them. I know Garmin also makes good electronics, including AP's, but I can't recommend a specific model. But what you need to make sure of is that what ever make / model you choose, that it will hold a course at trolling speeds. Another friend spent good $$ on a Raymarine AP that wouldn't hold course under 2 mph. That didnt work very well for walleye trolling. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  6. I prefer Simrad products. I'd recommend a Simrad Go with a thru hull transducer and a Simrad AP44 autopilot system. If you have manual steering, you'll need an octopus drive to convert to hydraulic back at the stern. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  7. That Carolina Classic is sold. If you bought it, I get a free fishing trip as commission! Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  8. It was just posted for sale today, as of now, its still available, so I'm told. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk

  11. I had to go to the 8" Special Mate to fit my Magnum Stinger spoons. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  12. 30-06. You can drop down to a light bullet for groundhog and coyote. Jump up to 165 to 180 grain for deer, or all the way to 220 grain for black bear. Great all around gun. It was the first riffle I bought and I still use that gun. I've shot all of the above with it. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk

  15. You can also try inject a deck. Saw a video of a guy who did it on the dive platform of his Tiara and it came out really good. Ill see if I can find that link or video. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  16. Thx. Never heard of them, I'll need to look them up. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk

  19. You can always check out fish307. https://www.fish307.com/troll-master-seahorse-penn-downrigger-parts/ Edited to show the Penn link instead of Cannon. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk

  21. I had a late 80's Baha 230 Sport and it had approximately a 50 gallon tank. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  22. I feel they run better and its one less failure point. #2 snap swivel. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  23. I do not run split rings on my spoons...even if they come with them, I remove them. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  24. Can it be done? Sure. But I wouldn't use the canvas as a template. You usually see a hard top being flat or with a slight bevel. Attached with four supports, raised from the windshield...then isenglass or strataglass connecting the two. Looks great when done, but alot of work. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
