Downrigger line type

Hello this is my first year trolling. So I'm sure there will be alot of stupid rookie questions. Here goes the first one. I've been told not to run braid on my downrigger rods because of sea lice. My question is if mine are set up with 50# power pro, what would be a good size to run in mono?

 30lb mono, I use Berkley Big Game.

Can always add a couple hundred feet of 30lb mono to your braid. Barrel swivel at the end and a short fluorocarbon leader.
