Identify this vintage planar board release

Can anyone please help me identify this, if these were an old store bought brand or homemade? I went through a bunch of internet searches and google photo match with no luck. Thanks!

I use these and the Clippers. 
These ones are Outdoor Scene planer board releases.

Weldon’s release. They have been bought out and I believe they have a new name. They sell these in Ohio along Lake Erie. The new yellow version is awesome

They do look like Weldon’s, what about the orange plastic pipe secured with shrink tubing on the shower curtain clip? I’ve never seen that before

Here is what I have been using. The older ones used to have a yellow tube on the clip. They have eliminated that over the years.

Does the weight of these releases vs the plastic ones help with deployment of lines and help with the wind blowing them back up the main line?

These look like a home made version of the Weldons.

I made my own because the commercial versions are expensive.

I typically carry 50 or so on my boat because i run two lines each side of the boat on my big boards and you really don't want to crank in the boards just because you ran out of release's. The hard part of making your own is selecting a good epoxy or glue to secure the pads to the clamp. Clamps can be purchased from allied electric.

Cheap uv resin on amazon would probably work good for that but the key is to have a good uv flashlight to cure it. Ultrafire uv flashlight on Amazon works excellent if you have an 18650 battery. Plus it will supercharge any of your glow spoons/gear
