A while back (maybe 18 months) I posted on here and received several recommendations for outboard service. Things came up and I never followed through. I have a 1968(?) Evinrude 18hp that I inherited from a friend. It hasn't seen the water in several years. What I'm looking for is someone to give it a once over and tell me if it's worth investing in, etc. and then to do the service if it's feasible. I think the gentleman that had been recommended before may have been in the Faihaven/Pualski area? Any input would be appreciated.

Theres a guy on rt 3 just after fairways and dreams heading from port ontario toward oswego.  Hes on the left. Its a house.  Generally a number of boats in his yard.  He's done work on old motors for people i know.  They were happy.  Unfortunately i dont know the name or number.

You are fairly  close to Hank (l&M) in Port Bay, just north of Wolcot. He would be the place to go to for any outboard trouble.

He is a moderator on this board and goes by L&M. The engine that he cannot fix, has not yet been invented.
