While deep drop  fishing off Costa Rica I used some small white lights to attract the fish. I attached them to the swivels above the baits and the results were so that while first I was laughed at, towards the end of the first day everybody wanted to use one.

Did anybody ever try these little lamps fishing for lakers 140 feet down?

Maybe send a suggestion into Fishhawk to put a small LED in their probe?  Maybe a blinker?

I would on the condition that they will send me the latest greatest new fishhawk for free

I ran a Go Pro on my rigger years ago.  It had a small red blinking LED.  I can tell you from watching the video, the fish would come over to that little red light and not hit the lure a lot of the time!

So the fish is attracted to the light.
what would happen if there is a little light on the head or very close to the head of a meat rig?
I used it both just a above bait and jigs and in both cases, all other things being equal it out fished the line without a light by a margin of at least 3 to 1.

But that was at least 500 feet down. I am very curious about what would happen at 140 foot down.

By the video it seemed that way.

I just bought a few lights, the smallest I could find and come next spring, I will have figured out a way to attach them and do the experiment. If it works.. I will start fishing in tournaments again....
