vhf channels

Hi all,

i have been on lake O only about 5 times and not once in 2 years. Looks like i'm gonna head out tomorrow out of I-bay.

1. what are the best VHF channels?

2. what's the best weather channel?

any other info for a relative newbie would be much obliged!

push the weather channel button and i think 1 and 3 will come in ant but about 8 of them ,68,72,7,10, are pretty standard throughout the lake.or you can start chitchating on channel 16 like the blowboats do till the coasties chew yer butt ... but monitering 16 is a good thing all the time in your scan memory
