We stopped in there on Saturday morning. We took 7 shots. Lost a big guy on a 180 wire pulling a SmartFish/A-TOM-MIK combo. Landed a 18lb'r on a NK28 lazer spook off the 10 color. Some small steelies off riggers parked at 50-80, and some smaller Salmon. We found some BIG fish Saturday night out at the 29N line so we didn't bother stopping Sunday morning. However, we have stopped in that inside water every weekend this month and pulled 2-3 bites out of there. We are setting up at 5:30am generally, and it gets crowded fast. Im sure if you hit that mid week it would be consistent.

Don, we were out of the Oak this past weekend as well. We took 3 matures off the moonshine carbon 14-in 80-105 F.O.W.- Took shots at 55' rigger, and wire diver at 150- We took 2 matures on the cut bait with 20' leads off the riggers @ 75'-The 300' copper-down the chute with a float, with a glow gator accounted for 3 more 3-4 year olds, along with some smaller kings and steelies. We never got deeper than 150 FOW-worked from the park to just west of the flats and ended up with a real nice box of quailty targets- Sunday was close to being the same but traffic was lighter-We simply tried to stay away from the pack and waited til most left for offshore waters and waited it out. Stayed in close looking for a major, but couldn't top 25. Took some quailty steelies as well, on orange crush, bloody death and a mag Get-Er Dun custom tape job among other spoons. There are the smaller kings and steelies as Yankee made mention, but enough matures to make it interesting ;) --Duane

Don (chowbell), we fished the Oak fri 3-8pm. Started at the 24.5N per Earl "Bag Lady" 's advice. Hooked up quickly with a pair of steelies and my wife battled a mature king, only to be lost at the net, guess who was net man. We later ran to the 32N x15W, did a 22# King and some more steel, including a 13# steelhead taken by the missus. Get r done, NBK's, chrome e-chip with hammer were a few of the lures we ran. Riggers at 50 thru 70, wires out 150 to 210 (2 setting). Marked a lot of bait between 30-31N lines. Be back at it this weekend weather depending, got a nice 5 day hookup. DAYBREAK on CH10.
