Looking to take a break from Oneida ice fishing on the next good weather weekend. Is severne my best bet to launch and if so does anyone know the address so I can Mapquest it? Thanks in advance.

if you use the address for wood tex sheds ...severne road is a mile or so south on the left. It does have a wooden DEC public access sign on rt.14.

Severne would probably be the best bet as it doesn't freeze and it a good launch. As far as an address, it is approx. 3 to 4 miles south of Dresden on Rt. 14. There is one of those state signs right on Route 14 and the road is marked. It is about .5 miles (I think) south of the Rainbow Cove and Showboat which are well marked on Rt. 14. Hope this helps. Put the Rainbow Cove, Himrod, NY in Mapquest and it will get you within about 1/2 mile or so. Hope this helps

That state sign is pretty small so pay attention or you might miss it. Another thing make sure your brakes are good or you could ende up out in the drink. I wonder if anyone has done that there
