Obtaining a Canadian License

Can anyone tell me what do we have to do to obtain a Canadian License, (do we need to go to Canada or can it be purchased over the internet)? If you have any phone numbers or web sites would be helpfull.

Call the number below and you can do it right over the phone. They tell you 3-4 weeks and it will be in your mailbox, but its generally faster than that.

I'm pretty sure when you are here you can get the license at a Canadian Tire (non-residents permit) or day fishing license or something like that - and you have it right away.

Best thing to do is to look online for a Canadian tire close to where you are going and call them to find out if they have the non-resident or day fishing licenses for sale.

Better yet - call MNR, they are very helpful.

Apparently, they have run into some problems changing the protocol of their application format. There have been delays in issuing a license. I would suggest trying the on-line link previously mentioned. I know you were able to print off an interim license.
