wire line on a 30class reel

I have a Okuma Magda reel and 1000' of wire line. will this fill the spool or should I back it? also, if  I back it any idea how many feet on my line counter? I would back it with 30lb big game as that is all I have.

No backing,   tie to spool and tape lengh ways over the knot & accross the spool.   I use the filement straping tape, some use duct tape.  Put it on tight.

i have the magda pro 20's and they have 500' of 20lb wire on them so the 30's should hold it.my 30's have 5 color leadcore with 200' of 20lb mono for backing.

I think the Magda 30 has the same size spool as a Convector 30 but, I may be wrong. I have 150 yards or so of 30# Big Game under the steel on my Convector 30Ds. It fills the spool.
