So tv news in buffalo is reporting that all of eighteen mile creek has been designated a federal superfund site. Do not eat the fish or touch the soil. Thats burt dam. Looks like it might be a crowded season at the oak. This is bad news.

with the new fences rules and pfd required the oak wont  be the same either this year going to be a lot of upset snaggers  all over  on the up side i hear there is one or two open spots on dawns hole  in pulaski ...lol

This is not new news.  I think it is among the top 20 most polluted waterways in the US.  Believe me it will not stop people from fishing it OR keeping fish from it.  By the way, the rocks in the Niagara Gorge are supposedly too toxic to touch as well.

The salmon and trout in eighteen mile creek (Burt & Olcott) came from the lake.

Don't eat any fish that has stayed in the creek all year.

That would be bass and pike, ect.

Yeah, don't worry so much about the migratory fish.  I wouldn't eat a resident fish out of that creek for any reason.
