St Croix Avid MH -F 8'6 Casting question

Anyone used this rod - St. Croix Avid  Medium -Heavy Fast 8'6'' casting for a pike?....I can have one for cheap.

Yes it is Steelhead rod... Just it would be OK long pike rod don't you think so?

For what lures works best? (i.e. spinners....crankbaits..etc)?

My fav bait for pike is a mepps #5 plain but it will throw the raps, larger spinners,swim baits the smaller glide baits ect

For pike you can't beat a nickle red eye 4" spoon. The mepps rougarou mentioned is good too. Also a mepps musky maribou in black and white is killer on northerns. Downside is they get bent up and lose a lot of hair after a few fish.
