32 lb. Copper

Going to set up a 300' copper (32lb bloodrun) on a Daiwa Great Lakes 47LC. Any input on how much backing and braid or mono?

I think you'll need a bigger reel. I would want to back it with 300 yards of 50lb power pro.

I don't think you will fit 300' copper on 47lc

You can fit about 260 ft with 450 ft of 50 lb Power Pro  which is OK for the Finger Lakes but not for Lake O
