Hydraulic steering upgrade

So my wife for my birthday decides she wants to get me an autopilot.... Problem is what's it going to take to switch the steering over.... Usually a friend of mine does all the marine work I can't do... But he is booked.... So now I need to know how much to convert cable to hydraulics..... Any ideas on a ballpark money wise?

How big is the boat? Single or twin I/O?

He has single and here is the best video I could find bubba.. But it shows install to an outboard. Probably pretty close to an I/0

I have a cable steer , and I just put autopilot in my boat for cable steering and it works awesome I bought an simrad ap24 autopilot. There is no need to switch to hyd. Steering

1800 bucks but it is worth it and is easy to install it takes about an hour and you can set it up dock side or like me I did it as the boat sat on the trailer

I hope to install a Simrad ap24 on my 22ft islander in the next week or so. I want to talk to Simrad directly before I pull the $1800 trigger and make sure it's going to work
