Gasoline storage

I took my 2 full six gallon plastic fuel tanks out of the boat last October and kept them in the garage till the other day. They have sealable vents and I closed them up. When I opened them up and looked in the bottom of the tanks, they are semi-translucent, I saw no water or anything. We will see how they go this week.

jimski, Instead of wondering why don't you just dump it into your car or truck and buy fresh gas.Just a thought.

I have seen twice in one day a plastic gas can pour gas into a car, and it blows up. The static electric charge does it since it is not grounded like a service station pump.

WHAT?

You don't have as much static electricity if you take the cigarette out of your mouth first. Buy your gas cans from California. They have more safety features than you can count. They're so safe you almost can't get the gas OUT.

syphon hose, you never see gas thieves blow up

Push the hose way into the tank. Use the palm of your hand to close off the open end, then pull the hose out. DON'T suck on it to get it flowing!!!! (especially if you smoke)
