  1. Thanks Farmer Jax! LMAO!
  2. Or you can get it out on big boards and not worry about it getting into your wires. Many times on charters we run 4 wires, and at least 2 coppers. I personally have never gotten my copper wadded up, and my ol' man CANT drive! Outriggers just aren't long enough.
  3. I have 3 riggers on my boat. I find 38 degree water and work up from there. My probe rigger isn't my deepest rigger generally. My corner riggers are. The probe gives too much blow back to the cable. The less cable out equals less blow back. That said I make sure its still in the strikezone.
  4. Yup, we had the extended all the way out.
  5. No adjustments. It will act as a regular diver but in rough stuff you will get a jigging action.
  6. The purpose of the spring is to give a jigging action to the diver. Which in turn would give your lure a little more action. Trust me, I tried to pull the plastic thing all the way, and I couldn't get it to go.
  7. Its a 240 Fisherman so its 24' long.
  8. Easy on Mike guys. He is just trying to inform you of a product we have been testing over the past few months. There has been a lot of interest in this from tackle shops on the East end when they were shown how it runs in the water. This is actually an underwater video of it on youtube with a SmartFish behind it. I think the concept is great and I love changing the depth of your diver without tripping the mechanism. Like I said, give Ol' Mike a break. He's just trying to help out a friend.
  9. Yeah, that is great! I couldn't believe it when I ran them. STRAIGHT down fishing 200' down on the cable. 15's are all the average joe needs. Check out the 13lb Ridgeback Rattlers too if you plan on fishing the top 100'.
  10. You talkin about Black Creek? I was thinking of bringing the yak up there right where it enters the river.
  11. I just bought a Kayak, and I would love to get into this stuff. great trip!
  12. Thats really not a good thing this year! I mean that is if you want to catch fish. However, Top Gun did pull up on my point last weekend and smoked them while all I could take was Lakers.
  13. Oh yeah, that Cherokee is SWEET!
  14. I wish! Im suckin' it up this year.
  15. Hey Matt, next time you run by me 6 times in a weekend can you get my pic!
  16. Paul, I appreciate your volunteering!
  17. I agree Duane! Michelle and Brandi have really tried to get what the fisherman want into that store! It's too bad that it's such a seasonal business and the winters take such a harsh toll on their income. I send my customers there for lodging and I know myself and my brother have dropped some pretty good coin in there buying tackle we don't need!
  18. Oh nice! Just like mine. Yeah, I need 1 more per side too.
  19. Yup
  20. Get the new one! I have heard some great things about it. Yes, it is critical to have one on board. Will you catch fish without it? Heck yea! Will you catch more with one? Can't say you will. What i will say though is you will have peace of mind knowing your lure speed, and you will also have some good info as far as temp is concerned. That comes in handy on a slow day. This way you can put your lures in the right area.
  21. He didn't win it in 600' of water. For some reason he had to do a fakey each morning. Both Saturday and Sunday he headed NW out to 400 then hooked right and ran East 10-20 miles. Saturday he ran past me about 6:30 heading east past Sandy creek. I saw him come back by me on the way in. Sunday he pulled the same fakey and headed over to Devils Nose once he reached 400 or so. That's where he won it. Not, the part that pizzes me off is what the heck was he doing in the same area i was in that I was doing wrong?!?!?!?!?!? Maybe he ran north looking for a temp break for steelhead and never found it, so he went to shallower fish. I dont know.
  22. I would if I were you! I saw a picture from a captain out of Sodus this weekend with a pair of 15lb Browns! I even resorted to looking for some BT's this weekend. And I plan on looking for them heavily on the east end. And all you have to do is just put some light floro leaders on your salmon gear bud.
  23. Dude, I passed right by it the other day and never took a moment to look. What set-up did you get?
