  1. well, i lost that property on Wyoming rd. The guy who gave us permission doesn't even own the land. I felt like suck an azz when the nephew of the owner came by and asked us why we were hunting there. WE weren't far from the Griffith Energy location though.
  2. Great buck! I had one of them come barreling past me on a doe and I could stop it in a good shooting lane, so he is still living.
  3. I know Wyoming County is large, but where in Wyoming County are you? I have been hunting a piece of property on Wyoming Road. Not sure where that is in regards to the entire county.
  4. I shot a doe on Saturday morning only to realize my tags were an hour and a half north of me! Sat Saturday night and passed on 5 doe(damn forgetfulness). Sunday morning (tags in hand) I saw 3 bucks. Went back for the night run and had a 130" running a doe down. He him stopped at 40-50 yards with vines in the way. So, he is still walking around as I declined to take the shot. My buddy took a small 7pt on Saturday morning and saw a few other deer he passed. He passed on a small doe Saturday night. He then passed a 6pt (no buck tag) on Sunday morning and saw a nice 8 Sunday night. A very active weekend and i was surprised to see that giant on a dead sprint behind the doe with his head down and tongue hanging out this early.
  5. Dude! I'm right down the road from the last lap! I don't know how anyone can go in there! How do you know the area?
  6. Well, we put one of ours on a real nice rub line and come back a week later to find it GONE! Boy were we pizzed! It would have been a great set of pics to see as these group of trees were getting pounded. Oh well! Some sorry scumbag must have needed it more than I did. What goes around comes around!
  7. I just had a buddy go with Table Mountain Outtfitters. He went for Pronghorn and Mulies, and got two that made the books! He said they run a 1st class operation! You see them on hunting shows running around with some of the big guns in the sport. They do Elk hunts, which is my buddies next adventure with them. Also, check with Phil Race from Indian Mountain Archery if your in the Rochester area. He spends a lot of money on hunts every year and he could definitely put you in touch with the right personnel.
  8. Sweet job! I had the opportunity to do some trips this year with kids and they definitely enjoyed the heck out of it. We take for granted some of these fish out there, but for them its the greatest thing in the world and they don't stop talking about it. Good thing for you is now your boys are hooked! This means the balls in your court. So when the wife says you cant go you gotta play the "kids wanna go fishing" card.
  9. DW has a fatter bottom to the spoon and the one in the pic doesnt look like a DW....either way it is a good color.
  10. I hear it has gotten bad with the garbage. I try to stay away from there since there isn't much room. That is sad though. Your the second person who stated this to me this week.
  11. I might give it a try tonight. Depends on weather and how lazy I am. Its tough to talk myself into walking out there for a few strikes.
  12. Nice job Anthony! That is a blue dolphin, but it looks to me like a NK 28 from the honeycomb pattern. I have been wrong before though. Another great pattern with tat spoon is an orange ladderback instead of the glow tape. That is called a coyote and a very HOT spoon for me.
  13. Gene, I didn't see this post. The person who you've been talkin to holds the NYS Federation heaviest 5 bass sack from Lake Erie, so he knows his stuff. Anyway, I would have given you a couple of GPS coordinates if I did read this earlier. It should be that hard to catch fish there this time of year, but its a HUGE body of water and it can be tough to locate some good schools.
  14. All the good lakes are out of your range. Out west is Chautauqua, and its SLAMMIN for big fish. Most all the Finger lakes have their good days and bad days, but Honeoye and Conesus are the more popular lakes. They are smaller so you don't have to worry about weather and wind.
  15. Fish are worse than women! If your gonna be offshore running them late summer without rattles is fine, but if your combat trolling in muddy or stained river water I would go with the rattles. JMHO
  16. I run a few different style weights. When fishing 75' or above I'm running Ridgeback Rattlers in a 13lb weight. These have a cool cross drilled hole pattern to let water through and crate bubbles. When I go below that its 15lb sharks. I don't know of any other weights that track as good as a shark down deep, or else Id have them.
  17. I have the 582 and its a great unit. It was around for quit some time. A lot of boats wee equipped with this unit. I am having interference problems with mine right now. I'm trying to fix that. However, I know of other guys with the same unit that can mark a penny if flipped over the side of the boat and I can vouch for witnessing this. It all depends on the set-up of the boat your on. On to my next point.....that 113hd is a SWEET unit! I love those large screen Lowrance units.
  18. One of mine took 500 pics in the last month and a half and it had 30% battery life. All pics were high res.
  19. These were taken in Cameron, NY down near Bath, NY.
  20. Um..yeah! Im not a trophy hunter yet!
  21. What could this be?????? Coon or Bear?
