  1. Good thing she was fishing and not out swimming.....
  2. Hey Brad - Thanks! We were very excited about all the recent press that LOU has got in the D&C. Last Sunday we were the featured article in the back of the sports section and Thursday there was another article in the "weekender" part of the paper that talked more about our Tweets project. We are pretty excited about it and hope its early success continues through the rest of year. Thanks again for the kind words! 3. Hey Troutman, Had a bunch of people call me today to let me know of the article! Pretty exciting stuff for us. There was one article in Sunday's paper and another article today: http://www.democratandchronicle.com/app ... 0105130325 Thanks again to all the captains that have given the LO Tweets project such early success. Can't wait to see in full swing as the season progresses.

  9. Fishing enters new age with instant fishing reports via Twitter Article by Leo Roth - Democrat and Chronicle, May 9th 2010 Lake Ontario offers world-class fishing in our backyard Article by Leo Roth - Democrat and Chronicle, May 9th 2010 Special thanks to Leo for the great article and all his support over the years of the world class fishery here on Lake Ontario. This year is shaping up already to be a memorable one judging by the size of the fish in the Spring LOC.

  14. Welcome aboard Keith! Glad to have you
  15. Congrats Larry! That is great to hear How many participated in the event last year again? Refresh my memory...
  16. Hey Lineguy, That is how the twitter page is suppose to work. Every time you see it flash, the system is checking for any new tweets posted by the captains. If there are new tweets at the time it checks (once every 30 seconds), then it will automatically post up there the new tweet. If there are no new tweets, then nothing will happen and it will check again 30 seconds later. Hope this helps. Enjoy! Chad
  17. Wayne, I added the homeport information directly to each tweet as well. You can see this right under each of the main tweets. Hope this helps! Chad
  18. Are you trolling Slimyfish? If so, I like 6" - 9" sledgehammers trolled on a flat line for getting in tight. They are floating lures but have a nice rounded face that pushes weeds aside easily. A good rattle with a mild side to side swimming action (nothing erratic). You could also run a leader (3-5 foot) up connected to a swivel that will help snag any weeds running down the line before they get to the lure. I can run the unweighted sledges between 1-3 deep. http://www.sledgehammerlure.com/nine_sledge.php
  19. You have come to the right place Eric! Always good to see new guys getting into the sport. Sit back, relax and enjoy the site - lots of great guys here
  20. Hey Wayne - I think that if you let your mouse hover over the captains images on each tweet it will give you a little more information about their HOME port. This might not be exactly where they are fishing that day, but that will be the case I would think more times than not. For example, Jerry (Rebel Charters) has the home port listed as "Sandy Creek". Other than when he is fishing tournaments around the lake, you can guess his location to be somewhere off of Sandy. Some captains willingly share exact GPS cords and some don't wish to disclose any location information. To each their own. Enjoy the Tweets! I can hardly sit here at work knowing what is going on live on the water right now...... Chad
