  3. There was a boat out Monday trolling. I saw a guy out in a kayak today playing with the Ice burgs. Hope he dosen't do the Titanic thing!!! And its Taughannock I think
  4. Maybe fish shapes for the LOC dates
  5. How about hearts for valintine's day shamrocks for St pat's day, firecrackers for the 4th. like all the goofy lights you see on the campers. Year round fun!!!
  6. A little in at a time in the lawn mower or the snow blower is ok. The oxygen senser and some of the other stuff that sets off the check engine light may not like the twostroke mix. Ray you need to use SAFTEY MATCHES!!!
  7. Gray squirrels love the plastic taste. We have trouble with them with the plastic propane lines when they don't get buried quick enough. That last bite must be a rush with 10 psi behind it
  8. Could be the extra action the boat gives the lures as it get thrown around by the waves.
  9. And now some of the newer trucks you can't turn the head lights off with the truck running!!
  10. We had our best luck close to the bottom. With flashers and flies, hammer and mirage being the best. The flashers were getting scrubed off on the leading edge. Good luck. Hope to be up one more time before the season ends.
  11. Fish Doctor Copper stick. Nice action and you can see the action of the flasher on the rod, just like the thumper rod.
  12. The best time to fish is when you have the time!!! Now the best time to CATCH though is a whole nother kettle of fish
  13. Make a cut out of your x-buddy and put it in the boat so you can still get out two more rods!!
  14. Say Ray if we were under wind power can we cut off the sailboats!! That would almost be worth the effort
  15. Janz we were over by the plant and saw fish jumping there . Saw your boat out there a couple of days last week. We wound up with only 2 coho out of the salmon that we caught. I think the weather down in the gulf has a lot to do with the salmon being later this year. The temps were all over the place with the changing winds. At least the south and east winds let us get out.
  16. Ray you should have tried in tighter our best line was in the 45' range from the Catfish area to the bouy line in front of the plant. We were picking up fish off the bottom with the riggers and the dipsies. Chrome E-chip with hammer fly was our best. Tried others the only one that came close was a white and silver R&R assassin with a mirage fly. Lost that one when the currents did the catch the other line and twist till they break off game. :? Had a good 2 weeks in selkirk shores.
  17. E-bay, the one I have been looking at has loose leaf type format so you can add updates.
  18. The salt water guys use lights for swordfish. I heard of guys doing it , but I don't know how they made out.
  19. Try slowing the drill down. To fast it will burn it up. There is a spray cutting oil or bit cooler too. We used to use a brand called cool cut. NAPA would have something that would work.
  20. When the water is cold enough I don't see why the smaller fish can't be released. If you gamble and don't get a full box oh well. The fish I saw realsed that were netted and measured under the 18.5 all took off. And I have caught large salmon that show signs of an out of lake experience.
  21. Beats the heck out of working where I was!!! Nice to read good reports Thanks
  22. Be sure to look for the reliable guy. I think he is the 400# guy that pees alot!!!

  25. I have a pair of 7' roller rods they have the better rollers that won't foul the wire. The shorter rods make it a lot easier to handle the kings. And they arn't so heavy that can't have fun with the smaller fish on the fingerlakes. I like them better that the twillie tip. We run them flat to the water and the clear the riggers fine. Jeff aka Miss-Em made them. They do a great job for us..
