  1. That rivet is a pain in the butt to drill out. I replaced my swivels as Billy V did. I used the scottys brand. Those are beefy!
  2. Ok guys I need your electrical expertise. Especially you marine mechanics. I posted this also on another forum. I installed a new trim indicator on my boat because the needle broke on my existing indicator. It worked fine other than the needle broke off short. It bugged me so I got a new one.I asked my marine mechanic how to install it. He told me to lower the outdrive all the way down and adjust the trim switch on the outdrive until the needle reads all the way down. It works totally opposite. All the way down=needle indicating up and visa versa. I am pretty sure the wires are in the right location. However, the results seem to suggest I have two wires switched. Below is how I wired it. Any thoughts? Black/ to ground on indicator Tan/white stripe/ to S purple/ to I on indicator Blue to light on indicator
  3. What a pain in the arse! You know how big a threat that recreational boaters can be to national security. If the coasties see a 40 foot offshore race boat screaming for a nuke plant with two guys with towels on their heads I say vaporize them. This stuff is getting out of hand.
  4. I would be interested in some pics also. I am keeping my rig for the season but may consider buying another one to work on this winter.
  5. For a minute there I thought you had a tip I could use. Trolling definetely does NOT make wifey hot.
  6. Bringley, I like that quote. Clark those birds are on both my property and my parents. Should be a good season. Good luck and safe hunting to all.
  7. Would not miss it. I have my 2 youth season days booked also. That is a great way to get the kids and myself out early. Seeing lots of good mature two year olds birds this year. They are already very vocal. I wish it would open earlier than it does. Should be a great season.
  8. I experienced the same customer service as you multiple times Yankee Clipper. I never spoke with a person! Seems like a company with that busy of a customer service department may be putting out a crappy product. I will be having a Lowrance X136df for sale soon.
  9. Hey Eric, I cut the outline of your sign this week. It will be ready for your bar trip. If you change the name of that tent other than Maniac Hotel, you better let me know soon. I will keep you posted.
  10. Where are you getting eyes on cayuga? Must be into the canal to grt them. Never caught one on Cayuga. You have me interested now.
  11. Yikes! Sleep with one eye open. Those Seneca Perch guys are a rough crowd.
  12. I have yet to go perch fishing this year. The weather has just been poor for it.
  13. Eric, how does Maniac Hotel as you originally coined it sound? I will surprise you with the rest. We will get at it tomorrow. As for the bar, I am thinking around the second weekend in May. Still trying to align my crews schedule. Think we are going to stretch it one day longer than last year. I will let you know for sure as soon as we figure it out.
  14. Nice setup Eric! I am more impressed with the size of your pole barn! You do need a sign for that thing! You tell me the size, colors and what you want on it and I will make a class project out of making you one. Let me know.
  15. I just repeated what was told to me from my marine mechanic. Break it in anyway you see fit. By the way, you cant compare the load placed on an automobile with that placed on a boat. Marine engines are subjected to loads that most auto engines never experience.
  16. 10 hour break in. No more than 3/4 throttle until 10 hours. No one constant speed for more than 20 minutes. Do not troll until you meet the 10 hour break in period and then change the oil.
  17. Rick, sounds like your getting desperate, cough up that Faruno unit!
  18. Not only do the gas prices tick me off, what the heck is with the credit card purchases shutting off at $50.00? 50 bucks got me 15 gallons tonight. I was going to fill it but the pump would not reset and it ticked me off. What suv or pickup doesnt take 25 gallons or more? Between the boat and the Expedition, I will be making several credit card swipes just to fill them up. Our economy is in a world of hurt.
  19. Congratulations! What a head of hair. I notice such things as for I am losing mine!
  20. Thanks for the info. I knew to stay away from the 6 liter diesel. I need a bigger vehicle than the Expedition and want better towing performance and fuel economy. Thanks for the tip on the oil pan, that is new to me. How much additive per tank and what is the cost of the additive?
  21. Dieselhp, sounds like you have lots of diesel experience. So.... I have been contemplating/looking at a ford excursion with a 7.3 diesel. Would you pass on a diesel motor now based on fuel cost in the p.i.t.a factor with maintenance with new diesel?
