Bruce it was nice to chat with you on the radio. Like i told you then we had great results also with the hoes and heads and early that day it was real wild as well. We did not do any kings but we were 25 for 31 on hoes and heads for the day. Mostly a spoon bite everything we put down took fish but some of the bigger fish came on the wire 150 to 210 out on spinny flys mostly white and translucent stuff. On sat morning we got blown off buy 930 but we did manage 2 decent kings 17 and 20 lbs on the wire 300 out in 250 fow with the same spinny flys we had out the day before. This by far was the best I have ever done since i started fishing lake ontario about 7 years ago.

Nice to have meet you to Tom. I was glad to hear you caught that King. We went 3 for 5 on the the lakers all on Dipsy spinny flys color didnt matter. My friends son caught that 18 lb laker and the way it fought (real good first run) I thought it may have been a small king. He was real happy when we got that fish in the boat it was the biggest fish he has ever caught. It will be fun seeing him reel in a nice king, if he thought that was a fight he will be in for a surprise.

Hi guys went late afternoon in the 70 to 100' and got 5 hits and landed 3 east of sandy all were Lakers one was 18 lbs. I could not get them to hit spoons but they were hitiing spinny flys. The 18lb was my friends Son's biggest fish ever he was a happy kid.

Has anybody been out in the deeper water off Sandy Creek yet? I was going to take a Milltary friend and his sons out on Sunday but not sure if i should stay in tight or make the run to try for some bigger fish? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Gene

Joe Be careful of the launch at sunset the bottom gets soft fast and there is not allot of traction. If you have a decent size boat make sure you have a 4 wheel drive to get it back out. Gene ps: a bunch of years ago while trolling for n pike I caught 44" 20lb tiger on a perch colored deep dive thunder stick. We were trolling along the west shore right across from sunset along a drop off in 25' of water I think it was in July. Good Luck

I use the familar bite system with good results but there are many great ways to catch fish with bait that work equally as well.

I love my DR the crack I am sure was a storage problem on my boat and since it was fixed it has been a very solid performer. If I ever neede to replace it I would consider the X4 but when I bought my DR the Fish Hawks were considered junk by most of the people I know that owned one and the X4 was not out yet.

I had a similar problem it ended up I had a very small crack in the battery cap and when it was deep i was getting a little moisture inside of the battery compartment. After replacing the cap and the orings it worked like brand new.

I just got my order in yesterday from A-TOM-MIK a couple of spinny fly combos a fighting belt and fish holder for the wife and kids. I also got some twilli tips for a couple of new rods I got recently and a couple of black dipsys. The price was great the order was fast and there was a nice little surprise in the box as well !! If A-TOM-MIK has it they will get my bussiness they have been great every time i have ordered from them.

They are in but the water might be a little low. I got my boat in (18' trophy wa) with out much of a problem a couple of weeks ago.
