  1. I'm not liking that... he's like the commercial I'm not a security guard or alarm , I'm just a security monitor for hunter in the woods. There's a hunter in the woods.... Really close! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Been out a few days, 8A, not much sign but saw a bruiser 8 twice on the way down the road at dark from the property. This morning was the best day. Too windy though. Swaying around in my climber I did NOT like standing up much. This morning had some stand p orn. 4 point made a huge ruckus behind me chasing a doe. She stopped he jumped on. 30 yards behind me. First for that one!..then he peed and anointed his tarsels after the afterglow...oops! Back to work tomorrow. Crap! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. This is my idea of Morbid Obesity! Lol! Think it's a couple years ago... Maybe we need to do more deer pen projects along with salmon!...lol! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. Fun day with the muzzy! Good job! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Nice work Mike! Its too boring to watch all the deer walk by time after time. Sometimes it just has to be the perfect day, and a perfect alignment, to have just been the best chance for a positive shot. That makes every hunt the best! Getting a trophy is nice, but not always happening with every best chance to fill the tag and the freezer! The trophy is the steaks on the charcoal grill done just right for me! Congratulations on the bow buck! Mark Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Darn it, I'm about 20 inches too big around...shoot!..good buy! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Yes, a very well produced video, and the guys know what to do with the enhanced choreography! Great job with the camera, and the sound editing! Especially like the muted underwater, and full out of water sound! Nice touch of realism. I've always had issues with digital rights management on copyrighted music for you tube. Seems a big pain to get permissions. Maybe there's an easy way? Mark Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Nice drum! Love fishing for them in the OBX. Pull like tractors! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Good old trailer hole...huh. evidently the DEC officers don't hang out there like they did in the 80's and 90's. Jigging activity LOL!..pretty hard to net those fish hooked in the back and tail. Watched many guys get their boats and gear confiscated down there. Sheriff made daily trios up there checking safety equipment and issue tickets anchoring in the channel. That's some big balls or dumb asses posting faces and snagged salmon in one episode. 13. THAT'S IT!...Bob would know....He's an expert on felines in fraulein back packs...question is?...where are the femur bones? ...wait😒...I know...in the bus that's in the scrap yard now... 1936 bluebird school bus...😂 Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. There is definitely a lot of stress on the micro life in the lake. Small crustaceans that are food for small fishes, are being attacked by the spiny sea flea, a predator crustacean. The plankton filtering mussels, also removing food for small fishes. The forage fishes, that the predator fish we like to catch (Salmon, Trout, Pike, Bass, Perch), are really having a hard time finding their food base after years of filtering. We do have a lot of nutrients from Lake Erie, but in my observations over many years, it has become more difficult to find the fertile waters, indicated by the green tint and obscurity of vision into the depths. A lot of clear black water out there lately. Weather patterns have a lot to do with that, but usually it is not so affected for long periods of time. Generally the color comes back more quickly. It just seems to be that Erie cannot keep up with the current depletion of micro life as well as in previous years. I certainly hope we don't get any more invasive plankton, or crustacean filtering organisms than we already have. Michigan I think already has another plankton eater and this one is even more serious than ones we have now. Asian carp. Maybe there is already too many plankton eaters and the carp won't get a hold. Hopefully, in the worst case if they spawn, we will have enough shallow water predators, (pike, bass, panfishes) to eat their young, so the emeralds, alewife, and smelt don't have another plankton filter robbing their forage. Those carp are great for the archery guys, but I wouldn't want to be a part of combat fishing for them. Could be a little bit dangerous. Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Out there on little galloo at night would have been good if no one opened their mouth in a bar. It's pretty remote. Nite scope clicking the trigger and walk away, picking ones teeth. Of course not today...too much surveillance. Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. All they did was compete for the highest prices on name brands...neither one different from the other. Maybe a new store line name will be better...Cabasselapro reels and rods. Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Don't know...but Lady Gaga might find it fashionable. Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. HAA ha! Good one...or go predator style like Arnold Schwarzenegger...disguise yourself as dirt...anoint self with deer pee. Lay in hollow as a scrape and use a bowie knife. Works good on the movie!Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Lots of shops down there with the right stuff. If your going to Hatteras Island and down to the Hatteras inlet. Stop into Teaches Lair. They can fix you up with whatever you want. Talk to "Jam"..good guys and good info on the beach fishing. Depends on what you want to toss in the surf. Bait or metals? Wish I could go down this year, but other things transcend my fishing trip. Good timing right now! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  24. There is a prop eater on the east end near the end of the outer breakwall port side from the lake. Don't hit it! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. I will agree that the climbers can be a challenge on safety. I have been using one for probably 20 years and never had any scare on it as far as slipping. It's a lone wolf sit and climb. Have thought about loosing the bottom half on a climb up or down and that would suck. I use a static line and safety harness now all the time. Older and wiser I guess. I did have a grade 8 bolt break once. It was my fault for trying to climb a small tree to trim a branch that annoyed me for a clear shot. It caused the upper half too much distortion and I'm not a ballerina, so it gave up. I was very spooked out! Didn't crash, but it was thrilling as it cocked to one side with me sitting on the top piece and did not have a safety hook on either. I was only going up to nip that branch so I didn't take the time to worry about it...lucky man, I was! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app
