  1. I keep a few mallards to whole to back, but mostly breast them. This is my favorite recipe for teal and woodducks: http://www.ducks.org/hunting/waterfowl-recipes-wild-game-cooking/garlicky-duck-skewers Medium rare to rare is best.
  2. Also the wanton waste rule comes in to play with this. If they got checked by a eco I'm pretty sure they would get a ticket. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I seriously doubt the PA Game commission would stock fishers just to control turkeys. Why would they not allow a higher bag limit if turkeys were out of control. This is along the lines of coyotes and cougars being stocked to control deer.
  4. Legacy, I use the same setup, seen some mushroom and some pass through. Wife and I just got a doe each today with that setup and I'll see what I find when I skin them. They do some damage though. Mine was a double lung and ran 30 yds. If the deer is dead I wouldn't worry. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Haven't seen those in years, not really sure where you would find them. I usually scan used and if I ever see any will let you know. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. I was always taught with any muzzleloader to pop a cap before loading to burn any old powder or oil off. I have a chance Wolf also use 209 primers, 100 grains triple seven powder and Thompson shockwave 250 grain bullets. My wife has the same, she had a misfire but I have not. 20. Nice, I've found the are closer to the edges and more scared of humps in the field. I think they are getting hammered in the middle of fields with all the people who have layouts and not many people hunting the edges Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. That's great. Its even better when they are 2-3 years old and things start to click. My younger black lab dog is 3 this year and has been great on pheasants, grouse and woodcock this year. We finally got her into a decent duck hunt and she would watch birds in the air but wasn't marking falls real well, need to do some work on that. But she was watching birds a lot, not whining and staying well when we shot.
  22. Don't we need to multiply that by 2 for actual waves, like on the Great lakes? So it would be 54' and 108'
