  6. I used to have a Lowrance FF and Humminbird GPS/FF on my old boat. I used the hummingbird for the GPS only as they will interfere with each other giving you a snow/cluttered screen. I have 2 597's on my boat and have used the settings above, except for the saltwater and have found it works a lot better than before. Depending on my speed I do have to adjust the sensitivity until I get on plane I get lots of snow on the screen in search mode. These have been a great help in seeing more with my FF, thanks Rich.
  7. x3 on what total chaos said. I used the stern eye on transom for hooking to.
  8. I was out Saturday and Monday as well. Saturday was packed and imagine it will be packed this weekend. Perch are definitely starting to spawn, quite a few spraying as you brought them in. Got into them Monday but had to move around came home with 15 Monday and 9 Saturday but threw back a bunch of the big females loaded with eggs, the ones that could get back down some had their air bladders coming out of their mouth. I can see where the spot lock on the trolling motor is worth its weight in gold, I was moving around and would find a school but then trying to anchor on top of them was hard. Water temps was 45 on Monday.
  9. Interested in 2, where are you located? Do they come with bases? Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Was out yesterday also, got nine was slow. Water temp was 39-40.5, on the way home heard the brakes making noises, grinding so had to change them last night so I could fish today Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/ Here's one where you can get buoy data.
  12. If he doesn't take it let me know I am interested. Sending PM also.
  13. I wouldn't think that its not that heavy so just lift it off. The two of you shouldn't have an issue, I had a 1975 55 hp Evinrude that I changed myself and moved around easily not sure how heavy it was but thinking it was similar in weight to yours and with 2 people that would be easier.
  14. I have a Mustang HIT, fits comfortable and I use it all summer when fishing alone. It will not deploy by just getting wet. It's pricey but well worth the piece of mind. I also am a bigger guy, 6'1" 240lb. I don't think they are allowed for use on kids. Also heard that it needs to be worn not on a seat to meet the life jacket requirement. I have a bunch of spares in my boat in case so have extras.
  15. The new pressure treated wood will also react with aluminum causing corrosion issues. Just a fyi.
  16. What size reel do you use for 20 color?
  17. Giz, I might double check that as BT candy was a uv one which had a slightly different look but was very similar to the one you show. I know I got confused and have both but would have to look when I get home.
  18. Tried to register but cannot check the box for accept conditions, using login name same as here. Might be my work computer so will try at home.
  19. If something happens and the daiwa's are still available let me know I am interested.
