  1. 28,000 cases in Italy with 1800 deaths. Check my math but that is over a 6% death rate. I wonder if lying Fox News is still spinning this as a “democrat hoax”.
  2. Piers from the end of March thru first two weeks of April will have browns and sometimes coho to catch. Ports that have a tributary usually have a pier.
  3. My daughter is being sent home from U of Guelph Ken. Viruses don’t know borders.
  4. The leaves on the trees need to pop soon!
  5. Unless you have been living under a rock, your world has changed with COVID-19. If you are looking for a boat name “social distancing “ would be right. BTW West Marine is selling toilet paper lol.
  6. I tried to cut and paste from one of the major fishing tackle companies but I am not seeing the one-piece version right now. Hopefully they are still making them. A two piece 7' lite action downrigger rod would do the same thing. I use them as board rods and downrigger rods. The light action keeps boat mates from pulling hooks on fish and I don't need 50 million rods to manage. Yes, they get 30 lb mono on rigger rods even though they may not be rated for line that heavy......its an ugly stick, virtually indestructible. Bend them to the water on a tight release, step on them, bang them around.....it doesn't matter.
  7. What kind of boat is that? Nice deep layout.
  8. Cheaper to take a charter than bring rig up from down south.
  9. Great mount.
  10. Ugly Stick one-piece lite action rods with light line. Wrong again Lucky. I am sure they fight better in streams. Interesting that a master center-pinned friend of mine has been catching them at Oak Orchard in February and they were dropping eggs and milt. They seem to be adapting to Great Lakes conditions like some of the pacific species.
  11. We boated a 14 lber for a Sabre’s alumni event. I told the gentleman he would never catch one bigger in his lifetime so he kept it to get it mounted. One other maybe 12 lbs but the majority caught each year are under the 25” minimum. In the lake they are poor fighters. Give me the pacific species every day of the week.
  12. Ha......I ate it. Picture was put into an article I wrote for Great Lakes Angler Magazine but I would have to dig hard to find a picture of it.
  13. I have seen pictures of some low twenties. I took an 18 lber years back. Those are considered freaks.
  14. I believe the typical number ends up being 200,000 atlantics on US side. Really small potatoes given their penchant for poor survival. Chances are if you catch one it is a Canadian plant.
  15. Sounds like disease then.

  17. I believe NOAA closed the blue fin tuna season for 2020 also.
  18. Talora copper rods. They have large stainless guides to help knots pass thru.

They are a bunch of pictures of the boat in slips. Did you used to keep the boat in a slip for the season?
  20. You can clearly see each site represented by a genetic shape to the antlers common to the area taken from.

Hours on the motor? Transom and stringers original? Bottom paint? Great lay out on that boat!
  22. Phew! I was kinda hoping that if you were still out there you could tell me if a mud line had set up.
  23. Did anyone pick up green hornet yet?
  24. Wire to braid segment via improved/modified albright, then braid to mono. Adding mono adds stretch to an otherwise unforgiving wire that does not stretch. The no curly cue to the end of wire is an added bonus.
