  6. There is not a fish that swims in Lake Ontario that will break #20 Seaguar floro as long as its matched with a quality rod n reel. IMO.. I personally never use anything for kings heavier that #20 for all spoon applications and #12 to #15 for the majority of the season. #30 mono straight to a flasher/fly but thats it. I know you will have a higher hook up rate going as light as possible when presenting a properly tuned spoon... That includes terminal tackle as well. The more action the better. but thats me....
  7. Yup. Red dock. Stop by Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Bazooka joe ... stop n say hi. Lakers are pretty much everywhere right now.. but specifically east of port 100 to 120 on or near the bottom. Steelhead east or west over similar depths. .top twenty with candy. Good luck Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. This past weekend was the first sign that things are heading in the right direction in terms of water temp inshore. Quality browns were available but still scattered. Bait was everywhere out to 300 + Be patient. Lakers n steelhead are there for the taking. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I'm not criticizeing the authors results. . Just saying it throws a monkey wrench into past theory. To say the fish must come up to hit high riding junk rods then should translate to riggers as well. Idk. Current. .turns..wave action against the board all factor in. I would rather be on the high side of the fish if I don't know exactly where my copper is running anyway. I wonder what the old timers are thinking when you say their ten color isn't running 40/45. I predict a long running thread!! Lol Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. Down temp is overrated compared to down speed. Fish the active fish which may or may not be in the thermocline. Its a goid starting point but don't get married to it. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Yup. A jettison release. Good for your thumper rig if you want a long leader. Also for bouncing bottom with 1# ball for bottom hugging staging kings with a j plug . Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
