  1. A couple of weeks ago the organizers of the LOC derby announced that the spring derby is canceled. They also said that people who had already paid would get their money back. Has anybody got their money back yet? I understand that there is a lot of hardship these days. Personally I would be quite content with having my derby money applied to next spring or even a donation to people in need. But I would like to know what is going on.
  2. It is a very nice lake indeed. Once you know it well it is also very predictable. lol, I sometimes call it Lake Wegmans, because that is just how predictable it is
  3. In the prop wash it will also get a not so healthy dose of exhaust gas
  4. For those who get Boat US Magazine, check out page 20 of the 2020 April-May magazine Cabelas has several fish descender devices. They will allow you to lower the fish to the depth where they were caught and then release them. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  7. Some things seem stupid until you find out why they are done.A few years ago, in the Thousand Islands region ,I witnessed the weirdest thing. This guy backed his boat down the ramp but, instead of letting the boat off the trailer, he disconnected the trailer from the truck and backed into the lake with the trailer still tied to the boat. He parked his truck and took off with the boat and trailer still attached. After I launched, I decided to follow this guy and witnessed him going to a boathouse on one of those tiny islands with one house. When he arrived there, he hooked the trailer to a winch on what I later understood to be his boat ramp. He winched boat and trailer onto the ramp and then I came to realize that he used his trailer on the island all summer to launch his boat or pull it out of the water.

  9. I have for sale a 1993 electric start 9.9 Johnson shortshaft outboard kicker set up for trolling in good working condition. It has been sitting winterized in my garage since 2001 and I have taken it out to run on the muffs, to check the impeller and the pump and everything works well. The compression is 98 psi in each cylinder. It comes with a metal tank, a factory service manual and older remote control box and a wooden stand that I built a few days ago. It is not a tiller. I also have the OMC kicker bracket with gas piston for sale in another post. $650
  10. price drop
  11. I have an Evinrude auxilary outboard bracket for up to 15 horse for sale. In very good condition. $100
  12. Let's just say that you are not very unique in doing what you did,but you are exceptional in admitting it.
  13. I sometimes wonder how many of our more vocal anti-political establishment members are being hen-pecked at home
  14. In Taiwan , everybody was told to wear masks in the end of February. They are now almost completely virus free. You feeling out of control doesn’t make Cuomo good or bad. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. That may be true and probably made in China. The Garelick type you would need is 71094. the Panther type would be 55-0416. Both are around 15 inch vertical lift and specially the Garelick is not exactly cheap. The Panther is a lot cheaper. Just remember that replacing the engine , because it took a dive or fell off while traveling, is not exactly cheap either.
  16. So now it is kicking it in the balls
  17. That’s an invasive species. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. There is also the possibility of an auxiliary outboard bracket. There are 2 stroke and 4 stroke brackets. Then there are 10 inch and 16 inch vertical travel brackets. The 16 inch travel bracket is used for long shaft kickers. This enables you to raise the kicker all the way out of the water when traveling on the water. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. If you have a good look at the tails, you can see that one is a brown and the other is an Atlantic. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. So we we are not supposed to go fishing while at least the I-Bay launch is open. Still with 7 foot waves on the lake it might as well be closed.
  21. With all due respect, but the cost of catching a fish is far higher than the cost of buying a fish.
  22. I'm about to find out the real hair color of a lot of my lady colleagues.
  23. Whether they fish with their friends or their clients, they disregard social distancing and/or non essential business closing orders. If they are from Wrights landing, they are shut down as Wrights Landing is closed until July 13. I think these anal cavity people are from the Little Salmon.
  24. There are going to be a lot of very big and fat salmon by September
  25. I would love to know who those captains are,so I know whom to stay away from.
