    I fished with a guy a few years ago who would cut the tails off of salmon and toss em in the livewell to bleed out. It was easy and fast. Anyone else do that?

    All good suggestions for rods and divers. Your Okuma 30 size reels would be perfect for wire. As for spooling with mono get a bulk spool of Trilene Big Game 20 lb. test. Most cost effective way. You can leader down with flourocarbon for stealth depending on target species. When the fleas show up just peel of a 100 ft or more of mono and tie on some Blood Run Sea Flee to top off reel

    Matt. Glad to hear the little guys got the feed bag on near the surface. The first 6-7 days after they arrived I fed them and I never saw a fish. Beginning to think they all escaped or worse. Got the 4PM this week.

    I- Bay open. Also took a ride to Sodus and state launch open also. If everyone just does their business getting in and out and doesn't stand around yakking, maybe we can get through this.

    5857390569 I got the 4PM slot for feeding the next 5 days. There are 5 feeding times a day. I'm not sure what's still open but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask.

    Cormorants just starting to show up here on Irondequoit Bay. Good thing all the browns from Rome hatchery got stocked in this area already. Salmon coming to the Genesee river pens today.

    Light and variable are my 2 favorite words. Any forecasts with E or NE wind I'd go golfing. Somebody here on the LOU couple years ago recommended the app"Windalert" for wind forecasts. It's free. We've had good luck using it

    I remember reading here on the LOU awhile ago to use feeler gauges to set your clippers to the lb. test you use. I tried it and seemed to give a consistent tension

    Very surprised to hear browns being stocked so early. Mid April to May 1st have been the dates in years past for Monroe Co. brown stocking. The Genesee Charter Caps usually get a call for assistance from DEC and several members show up to help. No calls this year that I've heard

    Scary stuff for sure Bruce. Hopefully things settle down before you start getting real busy with trips. Drove to Florida couple weeks ago. Things just starting to get spooky here with restaurant closings and such. Not sure I wanna leave though. NY sounds worse. I saw a bumper sticker out in cattle/horse country on a drive across state yesterday. ID RATHER BE LOST IN THE WOODS THAN FOUND IN THE CITY How true!!

    That may be true. However Scottys can be had for 1/3 the price. You can buy a lot of tackle for the difference. Everything is a trade off.
