  1. Great post, thanks. You got some good eating there. Grilled Mahi hmmmm!
  2. Gambler makes 2 good points. The $ makes the inconvenience worth it. And you have to get pics of the 1st & 2nd place fish for publicity. We learned that the hard way several years ago.
  3. Thanks for the offshore report Matt. Too rough for us to head out there yesterday. Gonna give it a shot Wed. Thurs.
  4. Great fishing Rick. Not a lot of captains would give give out numbers. I'd give it a try but it would be a hellava run from I-Bay.
  5. Thanks for the heads up 'bout time'. I counted 21 different agencies listed as participants. This oughta be fun to watch.
  6. Good report, thanks. Heading out soon for late morning early afternoon troll. Sounds like a good place to start.
  7. That is a diesel Dan, on the Double D. You going to be out this weekend?
  8. For all the well documented reasons I run non-ethanol in the boats as much as possible, but compare mileage in your trucks. The increased mpg more than makes up for the price difference. I think one of the big reasons the ethanol fraud is promoted is to slow down the loss of tax revenue on gasoline sales. As mpg gets better and better in todays vehicles, "dumbing down" the gas and retarding mileage helps stem this loss. Support the real gas movement. I think you're 100% on the money Vince. My mileage with 2 tanks of 87 no ethanol in my Silverado more than covers the $ difference. Ask the managers of your favorite stations that you want it.
  9. Just got back from Wellesley on Mon. We had some luck taking our kayaks to Wolfe Pt State Pk and fishing for largemouths and pike in Lake of the Isles. Drifting or casting rubber worms in 12-15 fow worked for us. Very calm and peaceful till jet-skis and water skiers show up. Good luck
  10. This AM I was at the Fastrac W Hen Rd and Calkins and they had 87 no ethanol for 3.90/gal. I hope this catches on and we see more of it.
  11. Thanks Hans. Glad to see an UpGrady report. Just motored back from Sandy this AM and could see a distinct change in water color west to east. Much greener here. Had a tough bite out there Sat. Water very clear. Hope it stays good here.
  12. Congrats on getting on the LOC board. We fished the Sandy tourney yesterday. Shoulda stayed home.
  13. Nice win on a tough day of fishing. Congratulations
  14. Alright, UNREEL made the list. Thanks Scott. I was hoping we weren't going to get shutout of the shootout.
  15. Thanks for the heads up on the fleas Dan. I just bought some 30lb. Blood Run See Flee. Anybody using it? Always used Flea Flicker when it was available.
  16. Congrats to both you guys. I've been in A-Bay for 10 days trying for large/smallmouth, pike and whatever. After blowing 2 tires on way up on RT 81, first one at Fat Nancy's exit, which cost me another $50, we we're looking to get some good luck. The fish we caught were decent, just few and far between. Can't wait to get boat back for trolling and Sandy Shootout. Got 4 new tires in Pulaski BTW.
  17. Dan, you are the man. Happy Birthday. Great to see " Duke" get on the board. We're heading to 1000 Islands 2morrow for 10 days. Save some kings for me. See you at the Sandy Shootout.
  18. Congrats. There is a nice article in NY Outdoor News with a pic. Just got it today Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
