  1. Holy smokes. Is there a nuke plant upstream on Sandy we don't know about.
  2. That is too bad. Hard to believe it's that warm. I asked the DEC on Tues. when we got the fish at the Genny and was told it was 49 deg.
  3. Thanks for taking the plank instead of me Dan. I fed them last night at 7. Had to kneel down to get the pellets to the fish cause the wind was whipping. Didn't see any floaters either. DEC said that they were a hearty batch.
  4. 2  For the Furuno. Just don't cheap out on the transducer. Go Airmar thru hull. I believe Furuno is offering a $100 rebate on the 587's and the smaller screen 627.
  5. I remember reading a post about that trip. Nice goin. We can only hope he leaves some kings for us this year.
  6. Holy crap Dan. That's not a season, that's a career for me. My suggestion would be to try to get more hours on the lake and improve those results. Either that or get someone who can drive straight.
  7. As Capt Bruce said check your antenna especially under the tie wraps. That's where the most stress is put on the antenna from the downrigger cable.
  8. I got a mailing from Funke's office yesterday pleading to sign the online petition. Took no effort at all to sign. My fish & game club just put out an e-mail to 300 members to do the same thing.
  9. $15 for associate members. $25 for licensed captains. I also would be interested in a bull session about fishing out of the bay. Anyone else?
  10. In response to the original post from BSmaster about that section of 390, could the roadkill be more because of more traffic. South of Geneseo and more so Mt Morris, it seems the traffic is much less.
  11. Brand new in box. Scotty #1116 Propack Electric Downrigger. Includes 1026 swivel base, 60in. telescoping boom, double rodholder. Auto stop. 2 Scotty releases. Gunnel mount also. Handles up to 20lb. weight. $570.00 585-743-7337.
  12. X2 on the Furuno. Bought a 627 this spring with the thru hull Airmar transducer. If it decided what lures to use and net fish also, it would be perfect.
  13. Good job Dan. I bet it's nice to have your crew back. Got the daily for a steelie I see. Congrats.
  14. For 3 hours of fishing I'd say that's a great job. Nice fish!!
  15. Great post, thanks. You got some good eating there. Grilled Mahi hmmmm!
  16. Gambler makes 2 good points. The $ makes the inconvenience worth it. And you have to get pics of the 1st & 2nd place fish for publicity. We learned that the hard way several years ago.
  17. Thanks for the offshore report Matt. Too rough for us to head out there yesterday. Gonna give it a shot Wed. Thurs.
  18. Great fishing Rick. Not a lot of captains would give give out numbers. I'd give it a try but it would be a hellava run from I-Bay.
