  1. Temp was down 66ft off I-Bay yesterday. Ck the counter. Got browns, a teen king and a steelie all inside 100ft. Riggers and dipseys both fired. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. In March the Genesee Charter Boat Assoc. has a flea market type sale at Pt. Pleasant fire house in Irondequoit NY. Lots of trolling gear. Check it out. Bring lots of $$
  3. Well I'm from upstate NY and I ain't getting it either. I guess it's a possibility with currents, excessive blowback and boat headings, but if it happened as you say, so be it.
  4. That 10 color with a FF at 2.5 would only be running down 30-40 ft. The reason all your fish came on the 400ft copper is there was a slight temp break down around 100ft and the fish were feeding above that where your copper was. We landed 6 browns on the riggers all between 90 & 100 ft of cable out. Nice work on the mast and boards
  5. That's cause you can't download a doc on an old Casio flip phone. LOL
  6. Very cool video. Thanks. I think I saw a probe or two on the bottom.
  7. I also attended last nights meeting and thought the DEC made some valid points on the year classes of alewives. It seems everyone has the opinion that there is no bait problem, however, knowing that a 2-3 year old class of bait is hurting is beyond me. Maybe I'm gullible, but Steve Lapan made a good case for a slight stocking reduction, to be reversed with improved alewife strengths. I also will be trying to reduce the LT numbers, I got a guy who takes all we give him.
  8. Glow frog, Mulatto, Wonder Bread and NBK
  9. I'm confused. Are we talking flies or fleas?
  10. The marina near me uses a floor jack with a combination of wood 2x6's , 4x4's to lift one side off the bunks and then the other. The smaller the boat the easier and safer it is. I've done it in my driveway with a 24ft.
  11. When I first joined LOU in '09 I was looking for a FF and remember somebody in a post said, "Friends don't let friends buy Lowrance". I'm glad I paid attention
  12. X2 on the Palomar knot. After a few tries you'll have it down pat.
  13. Beautiful steelie Brian. That easily could be 18# if it wasn't eating bugs.
  14. Congrats Matt and crew on a great box under some tough conditions. Good call going west.
  15. I'd like to see more cormorants floating. Maybe the Benelli will go for a ride.
  16. We started using them on one side of the boat last year to see if we liked em. The dive ratio is different from the dipsey's, but the more we used them, the easier it got. There involves a lot more variables with 5 different size divers and moving the weight with a screwdriver, but we feel it's worth the trouble.
