  1. All Fastracs carry non ethanol 91 octane premium gas only. You won't find any non ethanol 87 or 89 octane there.
  2. I'll second what he said about the cutco knife. Not cheap, but the guarantee is second to none. I like the way you can lengthen it too if needed.
  3. I spooled with 300 yds of 30lb on my 57's a few weeks ago. The 300 yd spool fits perfectly on the 57's.
  4. Looking ahead to the weekend I see temps in mid 70's and low chance of rain? What are you reading for weather this weekend?
  5. Wow! Just like mine. Great boat! Fishes real nice too. Same year only mine has a Bravo 3 drive with 5.7 EFI and only 300 hours. Of course mine was stored for 6 years which accounts for the low hours. Good luck with the sale as it shouldn't take too long to sell her. Arney's just had a 96 for sale and it sold in about a week!
  6. If you decide on an auto pilot make sure you get one that is compatible for mechanical steering systems. It will cost more than one made for hydraulically steered boats. I know some guys who buy the hydraulically steered units for their mechanical steering boats because they are several hundred bucks cheaper. They can be rigged to work, but you will burn it out in about a year or so and IMO it's better to do it right the first time. I would recommend the Sitex SP110 for mechanical steering. It will cost you a little more than 1800 bucks. I believe Raymarine also makes a unit for mechanically steered boats for about 2000 bucks. Raymarine's hydraulically steered units are almost 1/2 the price of their mechanically steered units. An autopilot is an expensive addition to any boat, but it's something I can't do without because I mainly fish with only 1 other person. Once you have one you won't do without one again.
  7. Captain Gary's number is 231-744-3529. I'm not sure if he has a website. He is out of Michigan. I would check out both to see who has the better price.
  8. Did you try calling Captain Gary's? He seems to have most Cannon parts.
  9. The winds look like they'll be humming this weekend. Doesn't look good as of right now.
  10. Some have reported some interference with transducers that are running a 50khz frequency if the transducers are located too close to each other. The fish hawk runs on a 70khz frequency. I don't think this a big problem though. I didn't take the chance and located my fish hawk transducer on the opposite side of my fishfinder transducer and it works out fine for me. The people at fish hawk can advise you and they are great to work with in my opinion.
  11. Very nice boat and looks to be in very good shape. Man that is a big motor box! Any problems working around it?
  12. I'll take the 2 size 0 dipsys. You have a PM
  13. If franchi doesn't do it I will. I have a boat docked in Mexico at the moment, but I'll be moving it to Oswego in about a week. Let me know as I am available. I don't bow hunt and don't want anything in return.
  14. Those are real nice boats. I sold my 1998 Trophy 2352 I/O last year to a LOU member who uses it on Cayuga. He rigged it to the hilt and then some! Lol. I liked the boat a lot, but wanted a little bigger boat for Lake O or I would have kept it. Good luck with your sale.
  15. Jimski, thanks for the reply. My boat is fiberglass and only used in freshwater, therefore, a magnesium alloy anode is the recommended choice in all the literature I have read for all freshwater applications.
  16. Got the same unit installed on my Penn Yan with Bravo 3 drive and so far so good. Knock on wood! Lol. I'm really happy with it so far. Did you need the spacer kit too?
  17. I spooled up with some 30lb and used it for the 1st time last weekend. Worked great and looks much better than flea flicker. Not a single flea on the line either! I highly recommend it!
  18. First of all my electrical knowledge is zilch and I'm thinking of purchasing one of those magnesium anodes to hang overboard my boat next to my outdrive as added protection against stray current in the water at my marina. I have a Bravo 3 outdrive and they are known to be vulnerable to corrosion. The anode also comes with a clip on one end. Does anyone know where I'm supposed to attach this clip in order for it to work properly? Somewhere on the engine block? Do I need to do something else in order for it to work properly? Any insight would be helpful.
  19. It wasn't your probe. We were having a tough time finding any temp below 71 degrees on Monday. Not much bait or marks either. We didn't go beyond 220 ft of water though.
  20. I believe the Contenders are only 8 ft beams, correct?
  21. Maybe that's something you should have said in a private PM to the seller. Why trash out a statement like that for everyone to read if you have no proof. Anyway, did you get hurt in a deal? No survey, no deal, right?
